Force Composition 2x Patria AMV 2x T-72 3x BMP-2 SITUATION a. Enemy. Insurgents control Muzcal and the area to the northeast of the Huwerfa Wadi. They have been increasing attacks against the regional capital, Baghlan, and have been infiltrating additional fighters and equipment into the area. They are heavily equipped with remnants of the once-existing National Army and have several T-55 tanks, M113s, and BRDM vehicles. They are also equipped with several short-range MANPADs, ZU-23 AAA, as well as several ATGM systems. They have an extensive IED network and have emplaced minefields as a vast network of protective obstacles in the area. A Human Intelligence source has indicated the presence of a forward command post as well as a logistics node in Muzcal that are coordinating and supporting enemy activity into Baghlan. We have also received information stating that a massive attack on Baghlan would be imminent, however, that information has been reported repeatedly for several weeks and is most likely false reporting. b. Friendly. Friendly forces in the AO are part of a Finnish task force. They consist of a AFV Platoon supplemented with an IFV section and a tank section, as well as an attached scout platoon. They currently have most of their combat power positioned on the Forward Operating Base, south of Baghlan but also have a scout platoon currently stationed at the combat outpost north of Baghlan. Headquarters has allocated one engineer squad to assist with obstacle reduction for this operation. The task force also has 3x 81mm organic mortars, as well as 2x 60mm mortars organic to the scout platoon at the Combat Outpost. MISSION: Attack to clear enemy forces from Mazcal to help improve the security posture of the region EXECUTION. Tasks 1. Clear enemy from Muzcal / Destroy enemy Command and Logistics nodes 2. Preserve friendly combat power for follow on Operations 3. Retain tactical infrastructure (FOB and COP) 4. Avoid civilian casualties Fires 3x 81mm Mortars (FOB) 2x 60mm Mortars (COP) SERVICE & SUPPORT: Organic Resupply and Medical Assets SIGNALS Friendly ID: On Map Contacts: Enabled

Situation. Most don't know his real name, but simply refer to him as THE BEAR (Karhu, in Finish). He remains a feared leader in the region; respected by both subordinates, civilians, and the enemy. 6-hours ago a Human Intelligence source indicated that The Bear has gone missing, potentially as part of an enemy raid by special operations forces operating in the area. Imagery and Electronic Intelligence has determined that his exact whereabouts has been linked to a small grouping of villages to the north (OBJ CAGE), which is surrounded by a mixed company of light infantry, supported by armor (T-72B). Our reconnaissance has identified a series of enemy outposts, each one supported by a platoon of light infantry - all within reach of enemy armor that can quickly reinforce it, if necessary. Additionally, there is a significant unconventional threat in the area. Local enemy insurgents will use the temporary absence of The Bear to their advantage and will attempt to quickly seize power in the area. Signals Intelligence has indicated significant activity, and potentially a massive rally of enemy unconventional forces. B and C Companies are positioned on our flanks. Both Companies are light infantry, postured in defensive positions, keeping a sharp eye on the enemy. Our Company (A) is located at Forward Operating Base Serpent, equipped with 2x platoons of Leopard 2A4 tanks, and one platoon of CV9030 (FI) IFVs, as well as 1x 81mm mortar section to support his operations. II. Mission Conduct a raid to retrieve The Bear within a 2-hour window III. Execution Intent. The purpose of this operation is to retrieve a local special operations commander. It is imperative that this operation be successful, as it may potentially hinder the relationship with local indigenous forces as well as the national-strategic alliance that has been developed over several years. End State. Within TWO HOURS, The Bear is safely returned to FOB Serpent, unharmed and ready to be turned over to local forces. IV Support. One support platoon has been allocated for this mission which includes resupply, medical, and repair vehicles V. Command and Signal A-66 has overall command responsibility for this mission Additional Coordinating Instructions 1. The Bear will spawn once players find his location and approach him with dismounted infantry. 2. Return The Bear to the FOB and the mission will be successful (2 minutes in the FOB will trigger the win criteria) 3. Satellite Imagery indicates that The Bear was last wearing a Brown t-shirt and blue jeans with sport shoes 5) COMMAND AND SIGNALS: Per Kanium SOP

Everybody is Welcome: you don't have to belong to Kanium. We love playing with you all, the arranger and CO loves you even more if you sign up in advance Here we go again Combined Nordic Task force orders - OP "Here We go Again" (Spiritual follow-up to the campaign The Bears Gambit) Adapted by Nike-Ajax from OP Tesco made by SwordsmanDK and SnS, any potential fault(s) in the scenario is/are mine alone. BACKGROUND: It is January 2019... and war has come to Finland again. In Much the same way as happened 80 years ago, then Russia expected to overrun Finland and the Baltic states and consolidate their gains before anyone in general and EU in particularly could, would or dared to do anything about it. And thus in effect reducing the options of creating sanctions that does not work anyway on non-democratic nations as China and other dictatorships surprisingly never really uphold them, if at all. Russia managed to take the Baltic states, but surprisingly had to pay a very bloody price for their gains as they took on units initially of the JEF rather than NATO. That has changed now as NATO is in full war mode and have redeployed to the East and are desperately trying to reactivate and repair units which previously mostly existed on paper due to years of neglect and underfunding of European forces. Combined NATO forces have come to the aid of Finland as everyone can see the futility of trying to retake the Baltic states in a frontal attack, which would need to be an amphibeous assault across a contested sea. In line with this, then retaking the Baltics would be a risky if not outright impossible endeavour once Russian forces are consolidated after an attack and occupation. Therefore assisting Finland following the Russian attack is not only morally and politically acceptable. But is a strategic way of containing further Russian aggression while buying time to enable reinforcing the defence to the south, so from Poland and all the way to the Black sea really. In other words containment, or a case of Domino theory reapplied as it were. In the north, then Finland has at least in part created another rerun of events from 80 years ago and have isolated Russian forces in what can be termed a large Motti. So a limited but large sized enemy unit which can now be whittled down and destroyed in place. In line with this we need to close the noose by securing a vital crossroads to the north so the total destruction of trapped Russian forces can hopefully begin. Our tactical situation is challenging: You are caught between a rock and a hard place. Failure is not an option. 1) SITUATION: a) Time: 060600ZJAN2019, Local time: 0800 b) Terrain: Wooded and patchy boggy terrain channel Armd manoeuver and provide concealed AT ambush sites. Major water obstacles dominate the area in both the center and east. Heavily forested areas provide effective concealment. Small villages are scattered throughout; Civilians are friendly unless proven hostile. Major LOC limited to what seems to be two overall routes see map. c) Weather: Overcast with a chance of rain, 3 degrees Celsius, low wind. Visibility good out to 3km. No impact on sensor capabilities. f) Enemy: ENY Mech BTN with tank and ATGM support has been observed in defensive position blocking our access to a vital crossroad in OBJ SISU. ENY consist of around a mechanized BTN with tanks in support. Intel indicates ENY forces are of Second echelon Russian origin mainly with T72B1´s, BMP-2's and BRDM´s. But there is a chance that there are an unknown but probably limited number of more ENY vehicles to reinforce. We believe ENY has access to ATGM of mixed Russian types as well as some AA capability in the northern part of the AO. Indirect fires has been observed and we believe more than one batteries of 152 mm howitzers is available to them. Main COA appears to be a defense with obstacle belts along main road to OBJ SISU. We believe and hope that ENY will withdraw back into our Motti if we are able to put enough pressure on them, thus it is hoped sealing their fate. You are up against a numerically superior force of armor and infantry, but of older manufacture. BTN recce units and UAV has located ENY obstacle belts ahead of you. It is marked on map. There might be more as INTEL expects ENY resistance to solidify as you push north. g) Own: Combined Nordic Taskforce units need to secure crossroad at OBJ SISU for follow-on forces. It is CMDR intent to push through and breach obstacles on the way to OBJ SISU. Alternatively seek a more westerly route, which is through tough terrain and ENY concentrations. Or a combined plan: this is up to the CO. We have been assigned an international mix of Scandinavian units for the tasks. We are the front units with follow on forces behind us. We have one TNK PLT in reserve for BG CO to trigger if needed as well as one MECHINF PLT already on ground but in tactical reserve initially. Finally there is one ENG SEC in reserve if needed. Also there are two PLT of Jaeger units under Own Direct BTN control, to secure our rear (see map trace). All your units are equipped with the best gear available incl. multi spectral smoke for mortars and artillery. All your infantry are handpicked and considered Elite. BTN recce has been assigned your BG and put under your tactical control. The same goes for and BTN ENG support, which is to be used per your discretion to breach or clear minefields per your plan and the mission. Finally you have access to UAV so use it wisely Your BG consist of: - CO Group (CO 1x TNK Leopard 2A6, XO 1x CV90, 1x FOV90 FO, 1 x M113/ENG, CSS) - BTN Recce PLT (CV9035/DK) (Armed with CG) (Danish Forces) NOTE: Recon will have a deployment zone they can deploy in. Recon ONLY - 2 x TNK PLT Leopard 2A6 (Finnish forces) - Equipped with Mineplows (callsign 1 and 4 only in each PLT) - 2 x CV9040/C PLT (PLT= 4xCV9040/C, 4x NLAW, 2 x SPIKE SR in 1 and 4) (Swedish Forces) - 1 x ENG PLT (2x SEC: WISENT AEV normal width mineplough, M113ENG Miclic and M113/ENG) (Armed with AT-4) (Swedish/Danish forces) - 1 x Arty BTY (6 x Tubes 155 mm M109, with reload vehicles) (Norwegian forces) + 2 Batts offmap ARTY support ( 2 x 6 tubes 155 with SMOKE and HE) + UAV Support - 1 x M1064 MMT PLT (6 x tubes 120 mm, with reload vehicles) (Norwegian Forces) Reserve: - 1 x TNK PLT (Leopard 2A6) - 1 x CV9035/DK (Armed with CG) - 1 x SEC ENG GTK Boxer (AT-4) 2) MISSION: Combined Task Force Nordic attacks to seize OBJ SISU if possible within 2hrs, in order to enable follow on forces to cut off and then destroy ENY. 3) EXECUTION: Key Tasks: 1. Secure crossroads at OBJ SISU 2. Clear Main Road for follow on forces, including creating a passage through the minefields. 3. Hold OBJ SISU until relieved or upon signal from BGD HQ The main road to OBJ SISU needs to be cleared either before, during or after seizing OBJ SISU. Do not allow yourself to be bogged down but use caution when advancing. Plan: Up to CO 5) COMMAND AND SIGNALS: PER Usual Kanium SOP LATEST FROM BDE HQ: Per request from CO BG, then 3 FASCAM missions have been requested and approved by BDE CO. KANIUM SUNDAY 11th OF NOV 1900 GMT - Operation JAALA Bridge by Kingtiger Where: Kanium TS : teamspeak3.i3d.net:10077 World Clock 1900 GMT (Same time as always - now adjusted for Winter Time) World clock 1900 GMT IMPORTANT NOTICE: This SB session may be recorded with video and sound and uploaded, including to a public youtube channel. Everybody is Welcome: you don't have to belong to Kanium. We love playing with you all, the arranger and CO loves you even more if you sign up in advance JAALA BRIDGE DATE: 2014-10-17 06:47 WEATHER: Raining, wet ground and visual range of about 1500m. 0) INTRO Damned October, this rain never stops making everything soaking wet and mud everywhere. To make it even worse the russians are doing a damn fine job bombing our forces everywhere we show up when the weather improves. Since the war began 2 days ago the sound of guns have hardly stopped a single time. And once they do stop it to mark a new air strike coming in. Not many in the Finnish Defence Forces was supprised when Putin sent his dogs over the borders of Finland and entire Baltics with the excuse that he is defending russian people in the Baltics and at the same time answering the Finnish "provocations" with steel on steel. But it did although take us a bit on the bed, so many supplys vehicles has gone up in smoke in air attacks and we had to scramble into the deep forest of Finland to avoid the air attack and start forming our defence. 1) SITUATION: a) Enemy: 138th Motorised Brigade have attacked west last two days but has been stopped east of KOUVOLA (to our SOUTH) by friendly forces and are now prowling a new route westwards. Last known contact was south of LINTUKYMI river at LAMMINKYLÄ where a BMP-2 Platoon was spotted close to the blown bridge along Route 46. We have 138th MotBrig against use who are composed by BMP-2 and T-72B with support of 155mm SPG.Most likely enemy COA is to take the bridges over LINTUKYMI and push on to JAALA to either continue WEST to VIERUMÄKI - LAHTI or go SOUTH along smaller roads to KAUSALA to cut of Road 12 that connects LAHTI and KOUVOLA. For us that means that most likely we have parts of a Battalion Tactical Group (BTG) heading for the bridges over LINTUKYMI, heading towards JAALA. At this time there is no reports of enemy activity in the AO at all except the BMP-2 platoon down south but our S2 expect the enemy to have reached atleast the small river running SOUTH connnecting SONNANJÄRVI and LINTUKYMI with advance guard or recce forces and we can expect Motorised Companys following them close behind. b) Own: Our small combat team is what Bn commander could scratch together this morning after the heavy losses we been taking since the war begun and we are the only combat forces between the enemy and JAALA where the Bn HQ are established right now. Right now our Combat team consist of: 2 x Tank platoons (x4) 2 x CV9030 platoons (x4) 1 x Eng Section (x2) 2x6 155mm Battery firing HE ICM SMOKE (Off map) 2) MISSION: Advance best speed to TOLSKANVUORI area and DESTROY the TWO BRIDGES crossing the river LINTUKYMI at GR798676 IOT delay the enemys advance west. Thereafter withdraw back to JAALA for new tasking. (Move to EXFIL area). 3) EXECUTION: Intent: Get to the bridges, even if it means fighting our way through light opposition. Blow up the bridges. Pull back to Jaala. If situation allows, give the russians a bloody nose before pulling back. End state: Our combat team exfiled to EXFIL area, bridges blown and own forces 75% strenght and ready for further tasking after stocking up ammo and fuel at Jaala. 4) SERVICE SUPPORT Due to heavy air attacks by the Russian air force we do not have any logistics with us more then a recovery vehicle and a ambulance. We are fully combat loaded and that will have to do until we get back to Jaala and can restock from logistics unit there. 5) COMMAND AND SIGNALS: Per Kanium SOP: A66 = CO A65 = XO P1 = FO A1-A2 = tank platoons A3-A4 = Mech platoons A5 = CSS platoon E1 = Engineers 6) ANNEX Mobility: Bridges with limitations have been marked on map with MLC. Bridges with no restriction have nothing marked on them. 7) GAME DETAILS To detonate the bridge you first need to have ENG E1 in the grey area marked "EngArea" around the bridge for 15mins. (Simulating the bridge in peacetime was prepared for demolition so only demolitions and connectors have to be placed) and then hit trigger 1 = "Blow the bridges" to blow it up.

This is my first publich scenario. Situated in a Canadian/finish/northern Sweden like environment, in a mix of closed and canalized terrain with some farmland. Can be played as single (1 recon section, 2 Mekinf platoons and 2 Tk platoons, and morter and support) or multiple players. Tne concept is a deep Advance to contact, clean up and finally seize the objective in a industry part of city. Eny is a single forwarded force with heavy artillery support. Enemy is randomized and very responsive action to yours. I tried to make him proactive and tricky. Just to make it fun to replay. Further instructions in the briefing in the scenario. If maps are needed download Kingston maps. The Maps are build together with LEO MACDONNALD from CAN 1 armd div in the SB community. IF I GET 3 COMMENTS, PLEASE ADD YOUR IDEAS FOR A SCENARIO, I WILL MAKE A NEW SCENARIO. Pls issue any comment and enjoy the simulation. Be aware the mission is very difficult and very hard to achieve success in. The scenario has no politically or realistic intention or setup. a mix of old, new equipment, new zeeland APV, german tanks old and new russian and a bit of UK.
