    Combat Power 1x LAV-25 PLT (Recon) 3x Tank PLT (Leopard C2) 1x LAV PLT (Infantry) I. SITUATION a. Enemy. The enemy has quickly assembled combat power for an immediate attack across the international boundary. We are expecting a mechanized infantry battalion (BMP-1) with T-62 tank support to smash through the border crossing of Al Diraj within the next 15 minutes. The enemy is continuing to prepare for follow-on attacks at a staging site that we have identified to the south. b. Friendly. This attack has caught us completely by surprise and combat power in the area is extremely limited. A light infantry company from Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCL) is staged and loaded at the FARP to the north and prepared to move. A tank Squadron from Lord Strathcona's Horse is en route and should arrive in approximately 30 minutes, along with an armed escort of a flight of AH-64s. A recon platoon from D SQDN is also on the ground - move them to Al Diraj and contribute to the defense - you have priority for fire support. II. MISSION. Defeat the enemy attack and perform a counter-attack to prevent further attacks from occuring in the area III. EXECUTION a. Concept. Defend the border. There is an in-bound tank Squadron that will arrive in approximately 30 minutes. Delay the enemy and wait for the tank relief force. Once tank support has arrived, prepare a counter-attack to re-establish the border and then destroy remainder of the enemy in their staging area to the south. b. Tasks 1. Hold the enemy - prevent a total breakthrough of the area 2. If necessary - clear Al Diraj and re-establish the border 3. Destroy the enemy forces in the marked staging area to prevent further attacks c. Fires. 12x 155mm have arrived in sector and are directly supporting your efforts d. Aviation A flight of AH-64's are en route with the relief force. IV. SUPPORT a. A SQDN (tanks) will have organic supply trucks that will arrive in 30 minutes. b. There is no FARP in sector V. Enemy forces attacked into the area to seize the Khandera Oil Fields but were forced to retrogade after a significant air and naval campaign by coalition forces. Enemy forces retrograded from the coast at the first signs of the coalition ground invasion. However, in their retreat they were successful in destroying the oil production infrastructure as well as preserving most of their combat power to the north of Nabarib Mountains. A coalition forces ground assault force has just landed and is prepared to expel enemy forces. b. Enemy. The enemy was able to preserve a sizeable force; we expect at least two battalions of mechanized infantry (BMP-2) supported by a third battalion of T-62 tanks. The enemy was also able to preserve its fire support and air defense systems, and will use them to support a network around their HQ to the north. The enemy force also maintains a Brigade scout platoon of fast-attack jeeps mounted with ATGMs. The exact enemy scheme of maneuver is unknown - especially since they retrograded from the area - however, expect the enemy to employ their scout platoon across a broad front to locate and disrupt friendly movement in the area. Expect mechanized infantry battle positions (company or platoon) in key terrain positions within the AO, and expect the enemy to use their tanks in a mobile defense - the T-62 is underpowered, but the enemy can mass them at any point. c. Friendly. A mixed US brigade combat team has offloaded in the area. It is equipped with a mix of Strykers and the US Army's newly fielded Mobile Protected Firepower systems (squint very hard!). A piecemeal Task Force consists of 4x Recon Platoons (Stryker Dragoon) equipped with dismounted ATGMs, 3x platoons from a Stryker Weapons Troop (Stryker MGS), and a company of light tanks. MISSION - Attack to clear the enemy C2 / HQ node from the area north of Al Rakia to disintegrate command and control for enemy forces in the area. FIRES 1x FSO 1x UAV 12x 120mm Mortars (On-Screen) 9x 155mm Direct Support (Offscreen) IV. SUPPORT HQ Supply & Medical Assets are organic - all units 100% on classes of supply V.   5. When: Thursday 21st 1800 utc Where: Kanium TS and server What are we doing: Small scenario with danish heavy recon plts and later on mech/Arm squadrons. First of a small series of small/multicrew (later) scenarios. I need first of all: 1x Co (abaddon) (if any one else wants to give it a go let us know but normally this spot is hard to fill) 1x XO 1 or 2 opfor Mission time is about 1h-1h30m. This is meant as work days mission that don't last long compared to our Sunday games. Free for all. Show up and Manning will be done on game night.
