19 FEB scenario:

!Zollerheim 2012d-OMU

NOTES:

  • Avoid studying the enemy's side; only gather intel from the briefing and exposed enemy unit icons (enemy intel), and briefly looking over both sides to figure out which one you want to CO. Anything beyond that ruins the fog of war element.
  • To avoid passwords, open the scenario in Network Session as HOST and choose the side you want to play and go to planning phase. You may briefly look at both sides like this to see which side you want to play or CO on. As CO, once you choose a side, go to that side and create your plan.
  • Remember to play within the TGIF House Rules and SB.com community rules.

Thanks for CO'ing last week Cav Gunner; good to get some fresh COs in from time to time.

If it is any consolation, I noticed afterwards that because of how old the scenario is, Red had ammo that was rated too highly for what they should have had. I will fix this for next time (should have been a lesser KEW-A1, IIRC, rather than the same M828A2). :eek2:

26 FEB scenario:

Clash of Armor 2014-CA-3028

This is a modified variant of the all tank version of this scenario. Instead of three companies of nearly worthless T-72s, one is replaced with Leo 2A4s and the other two companies are IFVs.

Note that starting this TGIF (and until further notice - perhaps until the end of the year) we are bringing back the DRAFT. :luxhello:

How it works:

1. Once everyone is in the Assembly Area (by about +5 or +10 minutes after TGIF time), then both COs will go into a separate channel and take turns picking their team from the members present. SEAN or MYSELF will flip a coin to determine which side will choose first.

2. Once complete, both COs will go back to the main channel and tell everyone who is on their team. If any user has a problem with the team they end up on then they are welcome to leave the game and we can re-balance the teams at the end of it.

-------------------

The goal here is to even out all teams so that one team does not have a higher concentration of inexperienced players taking a large portion of forces and to minimize the ability to compose a team and practice before TGIF (which is not the purpose/intent behind TGIF).

11 MAR scenario:

Warlords of Paderborn-3028b

Need FOUR COs for this one (Blue, Red, Green, Grey).

And yes, there will be a draft again so don't ask. ;) There is no reason why we cannot not do it in a matter of 3-5 minutes. Also, if we do not have enough for this scenario (at least 4 per side) then we will play something smaller.

I just looked at the plans , umm map to this scenario. Is green and grey going to be there also?

Unless its an oversight, you should be able to cycle through the four sides whilst in the Assembly Area.

Click on Blue and you should get Red. Click again and you'll get the 3rd party. Click again and you'll get the 4th. Click one more time and you should be back to Blue.

Well I ran that scenario to get a view if the map and all the other three armies were there .....and all hostile ! :gun:

Well that's the issue.

No one said to play the scenario.

Volcano's guidance is:

  • Avoid studying the enemy's side; only gather intel from the briefing and exposed enemy unit icons (enemy intel), and briefly looking over both sides to figure out which one you want to CO. Anything beyond that ruins the fog of war element.
  • To avoid passwords, open the scenario in Network Session as HOST and choose the side you want to play and go to planning phase. You may briefly look at both sides like this to see which side you want to play or CO on. As CO, once you choose a side, go to that side and create your plan.

So from the Assembly Area:

1. Pick a side

2. Go to the Planning Phase.

3. DO NOT hit "start".

4. Escape/Quit back to Assembly Area.

5. Pick a different side.

6. Continue 1 to 5 until you have cycled through the various sides.

Just a reminder, still need a GREEN and GRAY co.

Also, keep in mind the text in the briefing about no formal alliances allowed between sides (but if you independently choose to ignore each other EXCEPT for in the objectives in the center, then that is of course permissible). There are no team wins here...
