29 JUL scenario:

UN Safe Zone-3025d-OMU

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Need three COs: Blue vs. Red vs. Orange. Blue side does not need very many people (maybe only three or four players)
  • No draft unless there are not enough people on Red or Orange

NOTES:

  • Avoid studying the enemy's side; only gather intel from the briefing and exposed enemy unit icons (enemy intel), and briefly looking over both sides to figure out which one you want to CO. Anything beyond that ruins the fog of war element.
  • To avoid passwords, open the scenario in Network Session as HOST and choose the side you want to play and go to planning phase. You may briefly look at both sides like this to see which side you want to play or CO on. As CO, once you choose a side, go to that side and create your plan.
  • Remember to play within the TGIF House Rules and SB.com community rules.

OK, apologies on the scenario being bugged but I have fixed it. Basically here is what went wrong:

1. A bad event prevented the VBIED attack on Lagos green zone from being TRUE. This is one of those things that should have triggered the UN to be under attack, so the UN was not activated properly, which would have happened much earlier.

2. The reason everyone received 0 points is due to chain of mistakes in the logic. Basically, when Red took Orange's OBJ, this caused Blue and Orange to receive 0 points because they both failed their mission at that point. The mission should have ended in a Red victory at that point (this is the error), but it did not end and kept playing so then later Orange took Red's objective, thereby causing Red to fail their mission and giving them 0 points as well. So, everyone received 0 points.

So technically Red won the scenario with a final score of 600, with 0 for Orange and Blue.  Good job Red.

I think it should (hopefully) be fixed for "next time".  ;)

12 AUG scenario:

Combat Commander 4000

This scenario requires 4.0 (don't post here that it isn't out yet, I am aware of that). ;)

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • There will be a draft.

NOTES:

  • Avoid studying the enemy's side; only gather intel from the briefing and exposed enemy unit icons (enemy intel), and briefly looking over both sides to figure out which one you want to CO. Anything beyond that ruins the fog of war element.

Please be aware that the SB.com game behavior guidelines has changed.

Specifically read the section regarding anti-cheat checks and monitoring. By participating in TGIF (and official campaigns) then you consent to these rules.

We take cheating very seriously and, with the release of 4.0, will now be able to enforce certain rules.

Three goals here:

  • To instill confidence in all users that no one is cheating in order to guarantee that they are having a fair experience.
  • To provide a deterrence to cheating so that users exercise self restraint.

...and secondarily...

  • To find and eliminate cheaters from the community.

Whoops, I typed this up several days ago but forgot to press "Submit Reply" button (I guess I need a vacation).   Yes, one way or another, there will ALWAYS be a game on TGIF. ;)

19 AUG scenario:

Allied Force MTC 01-4000

Need four COs for this one: Blue & Green vs. Red & Orange.

This scenario should be a good "stress test" of 4.0 Network as it has four sides and a pretty good amount of units.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • There will be no draft unless Green or Orange has trouble getting enough players.

  • Draft? YES. There will be a draft.

NOTES:
