9 SEP scenario:

Civil War Santa Catalina-4004

Part of the 'civil war' series, usually a fun one that comes down to a big battle at the end.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • There will be a draft.

NOTES:

  • Avoid studying the enemy's side; only gather intel from the briefing and exposed enemy unit icons (enemy intel), and briefly looking over both sides to figure out which one you want to CO. Anything beyond that ruins the fog of war element.
  • To avoid passwords, open the scenario in Network Session as HOST and choose the side you want to play and go to planning phase. You may briefly look at both sides like this to see which side you want to play or CO on. As CO, once you choose a side, go to that side and create your plan.
  • Remember to play within the TGIF House Rules and SB.com community rules.

16 SEP scenario:

Peredovoy Otryad '83 v.0.21

This is a NEW scenario submitted by a member of the community.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • There will not be a draft, unless we have trouble getting enough players on RED.

NOTES:

  • Avoid studying the enemy's side; only gather intel from the briefing and exposed enemy unit icons (enemy intel), and briefly looking over both sides to figure out which one you want to CO. Anything beyond that ruins the fog of war element.

Had the game crash twice, so i missed the end of this one, but i liked it a lot. Well made scenario

It was a nail biter....51st Guards Tank reached their objective line with just 20 seconds of mission time remaining, earning them a Major Victory.

23 SEP scenario:

Mech Company MTC (1978)-4000b

This scenario has been played several times but now the Leopard 1 tanks are replaced with M60A3 (as was the original intent). Also, actual infantry compositions are used (via the unit templates).

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • There will not be a draft.

NOTES:

  • Avoid studying the enemy's side; only gather intel from the briefing and exposed enemy unit icons (enemy intel), and briefly looking over both sides to figure out which one you want to CO. Anything beyond that ruins the fog of war element.

You always can take infantry, this is going to be a infantry map, tanks are going to be a bit secondary, and with not many units per player.

Volcano, two things:

Can you remove the ammo for the cobra cannon?, AI don't know how to use it and only causes problems.

I see the red side has some dragons,is that right?, or are you trying to represent some russian atgm, like when you put Leos2a4 representing T-80

True, the Cobra can have trouble using the grenade launcher at long range, but it uses ATGMs and rockets on vehicles just fine from what I can tell. So, no, I don't want to remove all cannon ammo although I will consider it for the next time I update the scenario for some other reasons. A similar problem exists with the Hind's gun ammo and how the AI chooses to use it ineffectively. I do try to remove the ammo from the Hind from time to time, but many scenarios have it, so this should be fine.

Regarding Red having the Dragon, the Red side's briefing states that the Dragon ATGM is there to represent the AT-7 Saxhorn which was very similar in performance to the Dragon II. So yes, its supposed to be there to represent something we don't have available.

That said, I want to remind everyone that the TGIF rules state that you aren't supposed to study the other side because otherwise your plan is simply a scientific creation made to counter exactly what you know to be present on the other side. This is against the rules, and isn't very fun either. But let's just assume that you were giving them a casual glance and noticed it.
