outontheop
Question for any T72 (real-world) users here: can the NSV MG on the commander's station be rotated independently of the cupola, or is it slaved to the cupola rotation?
Lt DeFault
I'm not sure about the real thing, but in SB it does seem to have limited movement independent of the cupola. If you move it just a little left or right, you can see how its orientation relative to the cupola changes. Once you hit the limit though, it seems that the cupola starts to rotate to allow 360° movement.
dejawolf
on the real vehicle the ring around the cupola can be unlocked from the TCs periscope and traversed independently. it's hard to traverse it 360 degrees though, because you get stopped by the hatch. the pintle itself rotates as well, and this is simulated in SB.
