borisz
I'm just thinking about it. I will never be a tanker, so why not add a little more immersion to this simulator? So to speak, i need only the "X" or "Y" size. If any of them are known, I can calculate the rest.I thinking about only one monitor behind the GPS eye hole. It is for displaying the TIS, and the GAS as well (switching like F2 / F3). An USB joystick interface card can operate the gunners panel switches (32 functions).

Gibsonm
Its not necessarily just "secret stuff".There are issues about Copyright, Intellectual Property, etc.

Lt DeFault
Interesting. This "BPB" company (based in Florida) is selling these as well: $225 $200
Tacbat
I guess you could just contact them and ask for the measurements.
Moderators Volcano Posted March 12, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 12, 2016 The size of the panels are not a secret. As a last resort you could just estimate the width and then scale everything based on that. From memory, X = ~6 inches, so from that you can estimate Y to be ~21 inches or so. Better than nothing.
Lt DeFault
I guess you could just contact them and ask for the measurements. I have done so on behalf of Boris.

TSe419E
And I bought one of the cadillac controllers to hopefully use with steel beasts! Thanks for pointing this site out.

I told the rep that hopefully some members here would be making some purchases. Hell, at those prices I was considering buying something myself. And yes, thanks Borisz! :drink:
Tacbat
And I bought one of the cadillac controllers to hopefully use with steel beasts! Yeah, I was wondering what would be involved in modifying the connector to hook up to a PC.
TSe419E
Hopefully I will find out soon.
Members Ssnake
Judging by the Leo 1 control handles, not that much. Their output ranged from -5V to +5V, PC joysticks are expected to deliver from 0V to +5V.
Rotareneg
Yeah, you'd probably need to rig up an interface. Perhaps an Arduino using a library like unojoyp to act as a regular USB HID joystick.
Members Ssnake
Maybe even just a signal converter. Back in the days, after they added a signal converter and a joystick port plug (yes, back in those day) to the Leo 1 control handle and plugged it in for the first time, Windows immediately recognized it as a "four button, two axis joystick" and proceeded to ask, shall we calibrate? So, it may turn out to be VERY simple.

Oh, and there is a commanders .50cal sight too (from a simulator). Hope somebody make a good use these stuff!
