I'd call it "very unwelcome technical difficulties".

But I've been told to simply shut up and accept praise, even if undeserved.

You would for certain have tempted $10 out of my pocket. ;-)

After the update my codemter is indicating empty/ no license. how do i fix that doohicky?

Did you buy/activate a new licence? (if you are using a dongle)

time based licences are supposed to work...

As I mentioned, the web shop isn't yet up (well, it is, but it doesn't sell 4.0 licenses yet).

And obviously an old 3.0 license won't run 4.0...

I suppose, the lesson to take home from this is to update the web shop first rather than allowing for a head start with the installer file downloads.

Both my permanent licence and expired time-limited licence still show up. Maybe running the codemeter installer removes them?

Salutations,

Ok... so after I load 4.0 and get a license for it, I should then plug back in my dongle before running the new version?

Yes... and, of course, you should actually activate the license ticket first. But that would be it.

Unfortunately, no. It turned out to be a bloody nightmare to try and connect it to our web shop. I can but kindly ask you to purchase by credit card (maybe friends or family can help), or to try out the (German) web shop of www.OkaySoft.de

Ok I have a credit card just wanted to use my paypal instead. Thanks

Yes, you need the dongle plugged in as the "activation" process updates the files on the dongle (adds the 4.0 license).

If its not plugged in, the files can't be updated. :)
