1. If Germany was to send a Panzerdivision to be part of the VII Corps during Desert Storm, but with circa 1992-1998 equipment and organization, what would that be?

2. What if that panzerdivision was in fact a small coalition between Germany and the Netherlands using equipment also from circa 1992-1998, how would it be organized?

Cheers

YES.

In Heeresstruktur 4 every Pz/PzGren brigade has three combat battalions and one artillery battalion (plus transport battaltion, independent anti-tank company, and armored cavalry battalion; add to that detachments from DIV's air defense regiment; technically every combat COY would in the end receive one (independent!) Gepard vehicle to provide local air protection)). Either it's a PzGren brigade with two PzGren BNs and one tank BN, or it's a Panzerbrigade with two tank BNs and one mech BN. These will usually swap one company with each, although it could happen (in a tank BDE) that the BDE plan might keep one tank BN pure if the plan dictates this (unlikely, though). Or, it could be that one of the majority BNs just passes over one of ity COYs to the complementary component but receives nothing in return, if the resulting overstrength BN is supposed to be the main effort, or because the terrain dictates an unusually wide frontage. In that case the understrength BN would probably form the brigade reserve.
