Gibsonm
Who is BG ANZAC? http://www.bganzac.org Described here: http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbforums/showthread.php?t=21753 A couple of examples of the BattleGroup at work: Multi Player session: Training session: So if you are interested, visit our web site http://www.bganzac.org and sign up. Timings: Thursday evenings, Australian time. The end of daylight saving on the east coast rationalises the times somewhat: Next meeting: 0900 GMT on Thursday, May 26th 1000 in London (BST) 1700 in Perth 1830 in Adelaide and Darwin 1900 in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane 2100 in Auckland http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?iso=20160526T0900 Count down: http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?iso=20160526T0900&p0=1440&msg=BG+ANZAC+Steel+Beasts+Session We continue the use of TeamViewer so people without the Steel Beasts software can connect and see and hear what we see and hear (looking over our shoulder if you like). http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx?pid=google.tv.s.au&gclid=CPLOveOGlcECFVgkvQodqk0A4g This maybe a suitable vehicle for people to see what the software is all about, without having to invest in even a short time limited copy. Anyway we'll see how it goes. Agenda: Discussion re Rolling Thunder carried over from last week: Comment / Critique of current drafts of OPORDs (assumes the 1st cut review is done by then - hint!) Mission 1: Roles people in BG ANZAC want to fill (Blue and Red) Mission 2: Roles people in BG ANZAC want to fill (Blue and Red) Mission 3: Roles people in BG ANZAC want to fill (Blue and Red) "Bling" Sub Committee - We have a first draft. Then depending on who is there we'll run something suitable or if enough are repeat offenders from last week, continue the ADF Cav Screen mission. As always, visitors / first timers / spectators are welcome. The 64Bit version of 3.028 is now the "norm". Please use the new Calendar RSVP function to facilitate planning. Panzer_Leader
That's a shame but looking forward to catching up next week when you're back in town. I'll think about a venue and email you before Wednesday.
Gibsonm
Make sure it has good WiFi (as opposed to PL's home) and that you have laptops. Can supply license remotely so you don't need to risk dongles. Edited May 26, 2016 by Gibsonm
TankMuppet
Hi Gents, Do you mind if I participate? I'm new to Steel Beasts and I've only done the gunnery training and tutorials in the sim so I'll be hopeless but I'd like to get an idea of what Steel Beasts can do, multiplayer wise. Thanks either way. TankMuppet
Gibsonm
Welcome! No of course you can come. Not much point in saying "As always, visitors / first timers / spectators are welcome." and then telling you to stay away. Hopefully the time is convenient (sorry don't know where you are located).
TankMuppet
Hi Mark, I'm a Brisbane local. As I'm a complete noob at this, how does everyone meet up? On Teamviewer? And is their a server IP for the game tonight or do you use a third party app to join a game?
Gibsonm
Not quite. We meet in the lobby in TeamSpeak. Once there I publish the IP. No need for a 3rd party app. TeamViewer is a remote access type app which lets people without Steel Beasts watch one of our machines - so they can get a feel for it. If you haven't already, have a quick look here for some pointers: http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbwiki/index.php?title=Starter_Pack Look at that, not even your first meeting and you have some homework. TankMuppet
Thanks again Mark. I'll go through that doc during the next hour (or as much as I can). One last question. Is the teamspeak address the one listed in that doc ( 216.22.24.158 )?
