Sunday 10th July - 1800 UTC Sunday Joints Ops with Dogs of War and Kanium VU

Recommended Posts

We will, on Sunday 10th of July 1800 UTC, host a joint ops game with DOW and Kanium and anyone else who wants to join in. Kanium will host the first session, DOW the second and so on. If this turns out like we both hope, this could happen on a monthly basis.

First mission will be a BTN size mission with 2 tank COYs and 1 MECH COYs. Game is open to everyone. The two VUs will run a tank COY each with free room for everyone that wants to give it a shot also. Included in mission is both recon, engineer and support units. It will be hosted in 4.0 unless issues should arise. If it does then I will update this thread and so on.

When: Sunday July 10th 1800 UTC World Clock
Where: Kanium TS for this one. Plz if you are planning to join make sure game has been tested and TS tried before getting there.
What are we doing: BTN size attack COOP mission with OPFOR players. Play time is at least two hours but you can join for duration you can play.

Manning list and more info will be posted during the weekend.

1.Situation

a)Enemy:

Enemy is holding the Town of Celle to our south-west and are using the railroad going through Langlingen and the road going Schepelse- Hohnebostel to supply their forces.

Elements of an enemy recon company have been sighted south of the Lachte river securing their northern flank.

Drone recon shows unit consisting with an enemy MECH COY in the area between the Ahnsbecker Kanal and the Aller River

Intel sources in Langlingen have identified enemy company of T-72 type in and around the area of Aller River and the Wienhäuser Mühlenkanal

S2 estimate that they can bring in an additional company of tanks from their forces in Celle if 14. PzGr Brigade cannot maintain pressure on them.

Previous Engineer recon indicates that a lot of the Bridges are made with materials that cannot take the weight of our armored vehicles. Activity has been sighted around some of the bridge. This could indicate preparations for bridge demolition. We cannot guarantee that all the bridges are still available.

Enemy Air warning yellow.

b)Own:

14th Panzer Grenadier Brigade is attacking south-west towards Celle. They have encountered heavy enemy resistance and enemy  reinforcements and supplies are being brought in.

We have been tasked with making a flanking attack in order to cut of those supply lines.

This forces us to cross 4 major waterways.

Your BG, 11th Panzer BTN, have been sent to the area north of Lachendorf to prepare for the attack.

You have been given 2x Armored COY and 1x Mechanized COY(+) with an additional third Armored COY in reserve in case of strong resistance.

You have been rushed into the area and Brigade have assigned 6 Biber Bridges including an Engineer PLT to you.

BTN HQ have also been assigned one PLT of Luchs recon which will be placed ahead of Lachte river to provide recon.

.

Commander's Intention:

It is our BDE CO intent to attack south and cut of the railroad south of Langlingen as our primary target, and further cut the road between Schepelse and Hohnebostel as the second objective.

I'll be participating too. I'am pretty flexible.  I prefer to take role from individual AFV (IFVs preferred) / section leader. But I have no trouble being lead of a AFV platoon, XO, or even in Opfor role (if there's no volunteers to that. I have done that many times for DOW already.)

Hi Lumi

If you guys have enough people to manpower (IFV Guys) I2 PLT we also have the BG Recon PLT (6 Luchs) that needs attention , right now i have placed you in I2. But your also in our thoughts as a potential Opfor.

Best regards

MD
