Crusty
Looks like the next generation of Euro Tanks are going to have a bigger stick than the Russians, That's a very big round, I think you're either going to need a Gorilla for a loader or an Autoloader. http://defense-update.com/20160614_rheinmetall-ups-tank-firepower-with-new-130mm-gun.html http://www.janes.com/article/61255/eurosatory-2016-rheinmetall-lifts-the-lid-on-new-130-mm-tank-gun Edited June 14, 2016 by Crusty Added second link.
Marko
The Russians are working on a new 140mm cannon. With the new T-14 going in to production it stands to reason western designers will need to up-gun there new designs.
JustSomeGuy
The Germans have already had an experimental 140mm cannon in the late 80s/early 90s. So did the US. The 130mm would be a compromise between firepower and ammo capacity, I'd guess. With the advances in metalurgy and whatnot, it's possible that the 2016-ish 130mm is as powerfull as the 1980-ish 140mm.
