So I managed to understand a little bit about how artillery works in this one. Also that HEAT trajectory allows somehow a more concealed firing because the gun is more elevated at the expense of penetrating because the barrel is not so obstructed.

They came out like that when i applied them as a 'woods' type terrain. It seems that 'woods' are automatically shorter at the margins and taller in the centre, so they are all short unless its a large contiguous area of woods.

Right... I suppose we need to refine that behavior. Shouldn't apply to individual trees.

These are just my observations and may not be accurate, but trees placed with the 'tree' tool/brush (as opposed to 'woods') are always their largest size

 insofar as it is a feature to have trees of different heights, i can't think of why that is bad.

Well, in any case, the key to avoid it is to not use individual forest tiles with palm trees if you don't like the effect, but rather the spray can tool

I like the little trees, hence my leaving them as is :)
