hawes
http://www.theevent.co.uk/ AFV Sim will be at DVD2016 on stand C3-419. We've just installed Steel Beasts 4.0 on our laptops and will be demonstrating a Challenger 2 desktop crew trainer with networked Gunner, Commander and Driver positions. DVD is a key event for all those involved in UK Land Forces equipment and support. It is a well-established two day event held at Millbrook Proving Ground jointly sponsored by Army Headquarters and the Defence Equipment & Support (Land Equipment) organisation - the section of the MOD responsible for equipping and supporting the UK's Armed Forces for current and future operations.
Panzer_Leader
Awesome. Are you promoting the concept of using Steel Beasts and your hardware for desktop training, as I understand MOD hasn't adopted Steel Beasts (yet?).
hawes
That's correct. We promote Steel Beasts whenever we can, even though the UK MoD are VBS users. If fact, I'll be using Steel Beasts today at an acceptance test for two of our new control handles.

We do our best to keep banging the Steelbeasts Drum as loud as we can

hawes
The DVD2016 exhibition went really well for AFV Sim, much better than expected to be honest. Considering it's not focused on simulation training, there were times when our stand was completely swamped with visitors. There were requests to set up a Challenger 2 gunnery range leader-board at the next event and we're going to award the top scorer of each day a copy of Steel Beasts Pro PE. http://www.theevent.co.uk/
Panzer_Leader
Now that's marketing. Well done!

Make that a HESH only gunnery Competition.

hawes
One visitor wouldn't leave the stand until he had hit all 10 targets on the gunnery range scenario. He used over 140 rounds.
