Starting a thread about RC Tanks planes and helicopters.

A 1:16 Scale RC tank can range from 5k to a couple of hundred euro.

they great thing is you can buy a cheap one then upgrade it.

The sound effects there fitting now are impressive take the T-90 in the below video. (I going to get one in the next couple of months )

fully intend to upgrade it with more all metal parts Gun barrel etc.

You can purchase it for around 260 euro and upgrade it with metal tracks and running Gear for about a hundred euro more.

I don't think I will getting it any time soon.

Precision work at its finest have seen a couple of them up close they had a king-tiger 1:16 Scale  model on show in bovington.

Tamiya do a small range of 1/16th r/c tanks.  Thay are in effect "model kits" needing assembly and painting - perhaps adding after-market upgrades on top of base price.  Panther G in UK retails for approx. 600GBP.

I like the Tamiya kits in my model making days I was going to buy the 1/16th Gepard  but to be honest I always thought they were to pricey the heng long models mite not be as accurate as Tamiya. but there far more reasonably priced.

I am sure you could improve/mod them. I am considering asking a friend of mine a very good model maker to repaint my T-90 when I get it

with the metal running gear and tracks it should look the part. my friend is very good at weathering effects

Not one of his but this is what I am looking for with my model.021-zvezda-t90-pt3.jpg.d5c6c1d5c1aa9166a

I just got one of these two months ago, along with a Futaba 6J Tx, and a Imax B6 mini charger :smile2:  I bought the XK A600 over at Gearbest.com on sale. HobbyKing is a good place too.

Using Phoenix RC simulator to practise on my PC. Plan to get a small flybarless mini helo soon. You can fly them indoor so wind or rain is no issue :smile2: Been looking at the XK Falcon 100 lately.

The hobby is not as expensive as it used to be 18 years ago when I got into RC 4x4 (Kyosho) It has evolved alot since then too.

RCGroups.com is a great forum for info and guidence.

Do you have a ball park pricing?

Also I'm assuming its fully functional (i.e. the top of the turret is normally attached)? :)

Perhaps PM me if you don't want to make it public?

I had the same curiosity yesterday Gibsonm, and guess what, about 776€ for the Tamiya 1:16 Leopard.  The bigger the scale, the bigger the price with these things.

That's a very good price for a new Tamiya kit

The best I have seen so far was 1k

Red 2112 have you ever purchased a kit form them has anybody on this site purchased from there site ( If so were there any issues)

been stung by offers to good to be true before so I am weary

If the site is legit I may reconsider my T-90 Heng long purchase in favour of the Leo

Well the first price I saw yesterday was as you said, around 990€, but then today (to make sure) I searched again and found this one. No I never bought from them and they don´t have it in-stock.

This makes me think it may be descountinued...

This makes me think they get it from e-bay... (see date).

There are still some vendors who do sell them thought, legit or not I have no Idea.

here's a good one that might become RC in the futre

T-14_Armata_main_battle_tank_Russia_Russ

If your referring to the claim the Russians intend to field unmanned T-14s I would take that with a pinch of salt.

A unmanned tank IMO is not feasible to many variables.

Say the tank lost a track it would take far longer for it to be repaired then a crewed vehicle, or the signal used to control the tank is jammed

On the plus side most SB users could probably command one. LoL

from what i heard, the Armata is supposed to be able to be remotely operated eventually, in addition to being operated normally.

Hi,

I sell cheap, cause the project is not finished.

But in France 285 euros.

If you are in Australia, it is not a good idea du to the shipping cost. :)
