dpabrams
Getting ready to take the plunge and actually play a human freakin being. I run Windows 7, 64-bit and have a mic plug in on the tower about 24" from my ears. Any ideas for a mic and headset? I am clueless. Thanks, Pete
Mirzayev
Depending on your budget, there are a LOT of options in regards to headsets. I use a Razor Tiamat 7.1 for gaming, but that may be higher than you want to spend. I've heard good things about the Creative HS-800 Fatal1ty, and for about $40 it is hard to go wrong with it.
Gibsonm
Pete, I think the most recent time this was covered is here: There references to headsets in the body of the post as well as links to previous discussions on headsets.
dpabrams
OK, it's official I am coming out of the solitaire proverbial closet. I ordered a head set and installed Teamspeak!

ashdivay
My 2 cents ! If you want to keep audio output of Team-speak and game sound separate . get a USB headset. This will enable you to specify two separate audio output on your pc, one for your speakers which will be for the game and other for teamspeak for your USB headset. It helps. dpabrams
Doesn't look like the Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset has a USB but I think there is an adapter I can get. Click to open expanded view
Bond_Villian
Dont worry about it, ashdivay is right about USB being a good thing, but you can adjust the volume of Steel Beasts in-game anyway if its too loud
