Gibsonm
OK well we'll confirm the manning prior to start (ideally you can both be there at little early, 1800 GMT - if you can make it). sjr162
Hi Guys, sorry, I now will not be able to make Saturday - change in plans on visitors. Looking forward to next one. Regards, ShortnSweet.
Gibsonm
OK, thanks for letting me know. No problem. Put 1800 GMT on Saturday the 10th of June in your diary / on the Fridge now. Edited January 3, 2017 by Gibsonm
Gibsonm
I suspect that those who are coming have nominated by now. As some remain provisional we'll fine tune the manning at 1800 GMT (30 min before H hr) just prior to going through the orders. RedWardancer
Has our OOB been finalized? Also, there is currently an imbalance of tank-to-mech players. If needed, you can switch me to a Leo. Edited January 7, 2017 by RedWardancer added stuff
Gibsonm
Yes the OoB is final, its listed in the Orders above and is the same as when we ran this last June. The manning isn't. As I've written a few times already (is reading really such an overrated skill) we will distribute the manning depending on: 1. Who actually turns up. 2. Which CT is in contact. You are likely to be controlling a vehicle section / platoon and moving from one CT to another as the battle develops. The lead CT will be manned the most, the 2nd a little less and the depth one will be primarily controlled by me (until the lead CT is attrited). I'm not too worried about a Tank to Mech imbalance as there are twice as many Leo platoons to Marder ones. Wiglif
I might be able to make the first one. Mech Infantry if possible.

Gibsonm
We had 15 people turn up from across the globe and participate. As expected it was a bloody affair. We were able to blunt the Soviet spear but at great cost. The view overlooking EA 4: The view overlooking EA 5: The AAR showing how the battled developed in 10 minute increments: H: Covering Force in place. Kompanies in initial locations. H+10: Soviet Divisional and Regimental recce detected. H+20: Covering Force withdrawing in contact. Soviet first echelon and rotary wing air launching H+30: Remnants of Covering Force behind 3./201. Soviet Main and Supporting (hitting 204 Pz Bn to our South) attacks well developed H+40: 3./201 position untenable. H+50: Enemy being hit in EA 4. 2./201 under pressure. H+60: 2./201 falling back. 4./201 starting to hit targets in EA 5. Maintaining front with our Southern flanking unit (204 Pz). H+70: Soviet first echelon in EA 5. H+80: 4./201 fully committed. Enemy in EA 5. Persistent agent used in "TEARDROP". H+90: Soviet first echelon culminated. Second echelon attrited between 3./201 and 2./201. Endex: Line OAKS held. Our Bn combat ineffective with only a Kompanie (-). WESER line breached in 204 Pz sector. RedWardancer
I hated those Hinds. Must have been about ten of them in all. Wish we had some SAM teams or something better. Tough mission, but fun playing. I want to play this on my own, but the password prevents me from cutting out those Hinds. Heheh. I'll just have to deal with 'em. In any case, we destroyed a good supply of the early entry numbers of T-90s. Should be a bit easier from here on against T-80s and T-72s.
Gibsonm
Glad you enjoyed it. Attack helos are just part of what Red gets - along with buckets of artillery. The air defence was busy guarding the river crossings and unfortunately fighting units usually have to fend for themselves.
