Count down: Time to Meeting start

We continue the use of TeamViewer so people without the Steel Beasts software can connect and see and hear what we see and hear (looking over our shoulder if you like).

http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx?pid=google.tv.s.au&gclid=CPLOveOGlcECFVgkvQodqk0A4g

This maybe a suitable vehicle for people to see what the software is all about, without having to invest in even a short time limited copy.

Anyway we'll see how it goes.

Agenda:

Thursday night prior to the Easter break around here so we'll see who can make it (some maybe on the road for school holidays). Depends on sign ups but:

1. Assuming that we have run all the introductory Chong Ju plans a run, I thought we might give one of the OPERATION SCORPION battles a workout, or do some "Brilliant at the Basics" work before unleashing the "not so easy" version (where the enemy has a bit more say in things).

Please Note: A plan file that you have built for the original will not work with either of the newer ones, so if you want to use your plan file, we must use the original scenario. Or you can get one of the newer ones and "update" your plan to suit.

2. Scope for Q & A / Tutorial session - again depends on responses and if people come ready to ask questions.

As always, visitors / first timers / spectators are welcome.

Current Standard: 4.010

Please use the new Calendar RSVP function or post here to facilitate planning.

Chris,

Just to clarify, the current Chong Ju series will only run if somoene turns up who hasn't "had a go".

We'll then issue the new, harder, version and people will need time to develop a plan - so if Chong Ju "not so easy" is issued on Thursday night, it wont be played until Thursday the 20th at the earliest.

A fun and successful outing with BG ANZAC this evening.  Here's my one screenshot during a lull in the manoeuvring and firing...

1-4/A [Panzer_Leader] lies in wait on the north-eastern edge of JERXHEIM after working with 1-3/A [chrisreb] to destroy an enemy Combat Reconnaissance Patrol.

By the way, @mpow66mpreviously requested at the bganzac.org site that BG ANZAC publishes the scenarios it plays each week so he, and hopefully others, can have a go in their own time.  Apologies I've been remiss in doing this to date.  Moving forward, for those sessions I attend, and where the scenario is publishable, i.e. not a work-in-progress draft or otherwise not-for-distribution file, I'll aim to do so.  Here's the scenario we played this week:

It's an excellent scenario by @Abraxas, with just a platoon of M1A2 SEPs for the Blue commander, so very manageable by one player.  The enemy force is a little larger...  It's definitely one I want to play again in my own time, after which I'll probably review it five stars, but it's already got a five star endorsement from @D u k e, so that should be all the encouragement you need to give it a go! :)

Hi Panzer_Leader,

  Thanks for your compliment :)

Cheers!

No worries, it's one of the best crafted and enjoyable new scenarios I've played in a while.  I'm looking forward to playing it again when I get a chance.  Have you got any new scenarios in the pipeline?

It was a case of depth and circulating the tanks to allow them to re-stow.

really good Tp level mission.

M1A2 has a massive advantage with that thermal sight though. I suspect this would be much harder with Leo 2s

Are the en randomised in their avenues / axis of approach if played again?
