Ive still got a copy from when i was a kid, great game!

Your avatar gives you away :) Thank you for your comment. I do plan to get SQL "Cross of Iron" which seems to clean up and fix the armor rules for SQL.  With both you then have a perfect game me thinks.

Some MBT (Leo 1A4) action...

@Bond_Villian So much greatness in one picture! Thanks.  Let us know when those scenarios are done if you so wish.

A very well done playthrough of Red Winter by Mark Mokszycki (also did "Operation Dauntless" which I have), and GMT Games.  A new 2nd edition reprint with more scenarios is on GMT´s P500 (pre-order).  There´s also a double sided mounted map available with the Red Winter map on one side, and Operation Dauntless map on the other.

Is that some sort of re-badged Avalon Hill product or a completely new re-work of ASL?

As you know, Avalon Hill is long gone, and ASL is now a Multi-Man Publishing/Hasbro product. There are other third party products who produce maps, scenarios, ect too. With that out of the way, the "Starter Kits #1-3", among some other expasions and historical modules are ASL in it´s core, but with alot less layers to it.  In other words, a simplified ASL, but nevetheless has enough chrome for new and old ASL fans alike.

The ASL Starter Kits are also a jump start for the full blown ASL experience if so desired...

The thing is that some people don´t have the time and/or dedication to fully get into ASL, and that´s were the starter kits come in play.
