I'm not digging the WW2 setting and it looks a little rough on the eyes, but that feature list is impressive.

Yes the WW2 topic is quite burnt IMHO, but again that´s what sell´s for mainstream I guess.

I don´t have the game yet, but I like what I see, even though it is a bit rough as you stated.  As mentioned in the preview, I really like the fact that the OPFOR retreats when overunned!  It´s nice to see the AI act like that.  I think the game is open for alot of improvements, and really hope it does so.  I good welcome to the gener 👍

BTW, it seems they are a Canadian based company:

I was a student of Dr. Sterrett during my time at the Staff College.

His simulations lab would make any wargamer drool; loaded with well-known and a bunch of lesser know simulations and games. He also has a wall, from floor to ceiling, of board games.

Who complained, the European Escalation makers?

This looks like a straight rip-off (uh, "clone", an age-old honored game development tradition).

Nobody know so far the devs didn't said anything, some speculate it's about the sprite, other about the name of the game,etc...

There is few other clone in the making

Project: Field Warning (an open source development)

Broken: Arrow

Regiments

....

Here a video of some of the contender

What I don't like about these new age war games is that unit spawn system c&c like. You start with £x.xx then you get £y.yy per "turn" to buy new units. I hate that, it makes no sense to me.
