Game looks good, and I like the concept - in a way it is very realistic to some experiences in a combat zone. I also appreciate the lack of micromanagement. I give orders, people go do those things. Simple.

I just hope:

1. there are boundaries in place to limit calling in a ridiculous amount of firepower against targets. There should be a challenge to managing assets.

2. There's some information collecting before you just decide to do something. Network hunting and actual intelligence development to locate and destroy targets.

What game is that? Is that the digital version of WaW85 which had been on the works back in 2016? I can't find it anywhere in the Lock n Load's website.

Yes, that´s WaW85. I got my kickstarter copy in January this year. But this is the Tabletop Simulator (TTS) version, which my guess is free.

Thank you,! I've been trying this a lot lately. Very interesting!

Do you know of any similar game, board or computer, cold war, that plays on battalion level?

Not a Wargames but Modern Naval Warfare will  be the successor of Dangerous Waters.

This one is so promising. I've been following them on subsim as well. Good times ahead maybe.

What does that even mean? Another way of saying 'Strategic'?

I'm not exactly sure - but I would think that when something refers to 'Grand' it is generally much larger in scope - maybe Operational or even lower-Strategic levels of combat. I would imagine that it would be something like managing a theater / Army-level, with access to a range of military functions.

Flashpoint has a campaign but it is just a series of single missions that focus on the Regiment / Division level, and the player has zero input at the operational level of maneuver.
