GreyWolf
Have purchase the SB ver4.019 but cannot get into multiplayer mode. SB indicates it is looking for sessions but nothing happens. Any ideas?
Gibsonm
Mulitplayer mode requires at least two particpants. One acts as the Host / Server, the other(s) as Clients. Unlike some other products there are no Steel Beasts servers running 24/7 offering immediate access to sessions. Sessions are pre arranged and usually advertised in the relevant "Multiplayer Engagements" section of this forum: http://www.steelbeasts.com/forum/9-multiplayer-engagements/ Most of these posts specify a day and a range of global times as well as sometimes the IP address. Find your local equivalent time, connect to Teamspeak 15mins or so before the scheduled start and you should see others joining. Then at the advertised time the session should become available. Gibsonm
Just to expand / clarify based on Sean's comments elsewhere. There are two connections required, one for each piece of software (SB and Teamspeak): 1. Steel Beasts. The "Host" uses a IP address (usually advertised either before the session starts or in a forum post). This is what the person wishing to play SB as a client connects to. 2. Team Speak. The Teamspeak server (be it the one run by the SB community or elsewhere) uses a different IP address. This is used for communicating before / during / after the SB session. A single IP address can not be used for both the SB connection and the TS connection. If you are typing the same IP address (XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX) into both SB and Teamspeak - it wont work.
