Crash/freeze when ending AAR

Hi 

 

I have recently experienced a recurring error:

 

When finished with AAR, the game stops responding. I have experienced this in the one Operation that comes with the simulation, in offline scenarios and in MP online games.

 

It simply stops responding , no matter how long I wait. And I cant shut it down via ending it in windows. Thus I am forced to shut down the application in Windows Joblist.

 

I dont get any black screens or other visual hints. But I cannot press any buttons or move the game forward in any way.

Do you run as administrator? what OS?.

 

Can you please do this. Find the shortcut for SB, right click, go to properties and in the "Target" box after the last " add --loglevel trace

 

it will look something like this :- "H:\SB Pro PE\Release\SBProPE64cm.exe" --loglevel trace

 

Try the same mission again. If the same thing happens check "C:\Users\{your user name}\AppData\Local\CrashDumps" for a crash dump. Also check "C:\Users\{your user name}\Documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\logs" for a debug log.

 

If it produces these files when the lockup happens please upload them here.

It is usually fixed if you switch to window mode, by default i think is Alt+W or Shift +W keys.

It is not necessary to add the command line options manually. In the Windows Start Menu / eSim Games / Steel Beasts is a subdirectory "Troubleshooting" with a link to start STeel Beasts in "debug mode". It accomplishes the same thing.

1) No I did not. Have changed it now, will verify and return when I know.

2) Win 10 Pro 64 bit, Intel i7-2600 PCU@3,40 Ghz, 16 GB DDR Ram

4) Thank You Colebrook, but I have tried switching to windows but no joy. When it happens I cant switch.

5) OK Ssnake - will try that first then.

For reasons completlely unknown to me and for reasons i cannot fathom, then it seems to work now - while running as an admin. I am not going to jinx it by testing more and will just say thanks for all the good advice, which I fingers and toes crossed wont need ...
