Mogwa
So, I'm watching the history channel or the military channel, i forget, and its all about the top 10 infantry fighting vehicles, and this Dr Aryeh Nusbacher character comes on and starts blabbing. So I decide to google this guy and see what I can find out about this "expert" on all things military. All I know is that he from some Sandhurst academy. So I google and wikipedia around and in the first thing i look at I find this, http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article27762.ece That's odd. He apparently has a BA in history and economic, a masters in war studies and a phd in history, so i guess he knows what hes talking about if hes lecturing at some academy. Anyway, the next time you see him(her) they will look like this, I guess. Now I'll look up the fat guy from Aberdeen that's always on these shows with him. Members Ssnake
Sandhurst is the UK military academy, like West Point in the US.
ShotMagnet
I feel your pain, Mog. I took to calling the Sandhurst dood Professor Nutsucker. He doesn't look old enough to have successfully whacked off, let alone teach a class at Sandhurst.Shot

Mogwa
I feel ill.No kiddin. I dont really have a point, other then, for someone who is on a lot of TV shows, I couldnt even find a wikipedia entry for the guy. Most of what I found pertained to the sex change thing. As for the Sandhurst Academy, although I didnt look that up I figured it was pretty prestigious as the English Princes attended.

Homer
I saw the same episode last night and it was horrible - naming an APC (M113) as the top INF?! I thought it was strange that a peticular feature which was described as innovative on one vehicle, was a liability on another. The good Dr. was more annoying than usual. I wonder if (s)he will be back for the next season?

I wonder if (s)he will be back for the next season? Oh I hate those top 10 whatever lists. They couldn't be more full of crap. "Top ten field rations". Whatever. Fear factor is a characteristic for a weapon system ? Good grief! And its always backed up by commentary from people like Ms Nusbacher, and other people who are just theoreticians. I guess Jabba from Aberdeen has actual military experience, but as for the rest of them... I don't know. Dr. William Felix Atwater Director of the Aberdeen Proving Ground Ordnance Museum. Hedgehog
Well if Ms Nusbanger was banging on about some Roman Vs Gaul battle then he may know his stuff though I doubt it.Modern tanks and gear, Well any one of us knows more about it than that w**ker, even Alpha-6. :biggrin:Ssnake and Alex, I'm betting are Demi Gods of knowledge compared to those TV idiots.I was thinking about joining up as an officer in the British Army, but if I got her as a lecturer...**Shudders****Shudders Violently****Shudders Violently and Retches**(Plus I can't be arsed to go down the gym, says it all really. )
ShotMagnet
The guy did some show about armor, and all I remember before the brain overloaded and burned out, was him (sounding like he was trying to convince that he knew what he was talking about) was the 'Shock and Awe effect of Armor'. I'm thinking that line, uttered with the same attempt at convincing sincerity, could level a city. I bet the military is working on a way to adapt it, even as we speak.Shot

Uhlan
Put a white shirt and tie on ole Jabba and it would be a perfect likeness. I love to watch him demonstrate firearms - he can't get his fat fingers inside the trigger guards!
