Gibsonm
Who is BG ANZAC? https://www.bganzac.org Described here: http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbforums/showthread.php?t=21753 A couple of examples of the BattleGroup at work: Multi Player session: Training session: So if you are interested, visit our web site https://www.bganzac.org and sign up. Timings: Thursday evenings, Australian East Coast time. Through a combination of democracy, state's rights and bl**dy mindedness, the country is now fractured into numerous time zones (three wasn't enough) for the next six months and we need to adjust the start time. Next meeting: 0830 GMT on Thursday, February 1st. 0830 in London (GMT / Zulu) 1630 in Perth 1800 in Darwin 1900 in Adelaide 1830 in Brisbane 1930 in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra 2130 NZST in Auckland Your Local time: Local time for your part of the world Count down: Time remaining until Meeting start Mission will start promptly at 0830 GMT. If you want a pre game "chat" then by all means come on line at say 0800 GMT, but so that the Kiwi's aren't after Midnight the Mission will commence promptly at 0830 GMT. In game chat / Communications: You'll need access to "Teamspeak" to communicate with us. This is detailed here: http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbwiki/index.php?title=Starter_Pack Remote Access / Screen Sharing / Whiteboard Sessions: We continue the use of TeamViewer so people without the Steel Beasts software can connect and see and hear what we see and hear (looking over our shoulder if you like). http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx?pid=google.tv.s.au&gclid=CPLOveOGlcECFVgkvQodqk0A4g This maybe a suitable vehicle for people to see what the software is all about (you can even use it on a Mac), without having to invest in even a short time limited copy. Anyway we'll see how it goes. Agenda: In terms of this Thursday night, depends on sign ups but: 1. If we get enough people coming back we can build on last week's introduction to obstacles and move onto obstacle effects, "SOSRA", and conduct a deliberate breach. Turn, Fix, Disrupt and Block: If people can't commit to that, then we'll come up with something else. 2. Discuss Rolling Thunder 18 - Go / No Go decision, based on expressions of interest. 3. Revisiting some "not so easy missions" from the past - probably harder still after 4.023. These need a few people to turn up. 4. Do some "Brilliant at the Basics" work? As always, visitors / first timers / spectators are welcome. Current Standard: 4.023 Please use the new Calendar RSVP function or post here to facilitate planning. chrisreb
Hi - as mentioned I have a TV engineer due Thursday some time between 8am and 5pm local. If they get a more accurate time that is away from my morning then fine otherwise won't be able to make it this week

Gibsonm
Not your fault they can't make the trains run on time.

TSe419E
They ran on time when I was in Germany. We were warned to be on the train at least three minutes before departure time because the trains left AT the listed departure time.
Gibsonm
Still do as far as I'm aware. Certainly did in 2011.

Panzer_Leader
Hi Team I'm stepping out this week, and most likely for the remainder of February, to use my allotted BG ANZAC time for project work on Rolling Thunder 18. I'll keep Mark updated and comment in the relevant week's forum post when I expect to rejoin. Have fun in the meantime!
Gibsonm
Understood. I'll send you an update Fri PM as to where I'm at. May also suggest we adjust the training levels to reflect the Naval Infantry being better than cannon fodder - but open to a conversation on it.
Panzer_Leader
Agreed. I generally set OPFOR Naval Infantry and Airborne as Regular, to represent their higher training level, versus Motorised Rifle, which I normally set to Conscript. I can do that for Mission 1 tonight, while I'm working on it, if you like?
Gibsonm
Based on the Conversion table: A = Elite B = Regular C = Conscript D = Milita E = Untrained I'm using B for the Naval Infantry and airmobile and C (the default) for the MR. Not that it matters for you (or mission #2) I'm also giving them all NVGs on the basis that such an expeditionary force would get most of the toys available. I have not tweaked the RPGs or ammo load outs though so they should be constant throughout. Will also email you both re the poll results and as to whether we "pack em, rack em and stack em" for another day with better turn out or Proceed and hope more will join the closer we get. Gibsonm
Just confirming that having done an "in progress save" we will pick up the action again next week. If someone comes who wasn't here this week, we'll quickly bring you up to speed.
