In a perfect world, we need:

 

1 x OC for the Cav.

 

2 x Fires guys (or perhaps one managing both).

 

3 x CAV Troop Commanders

 

2 x Mech Platoon commanders.

 

1 x USMC Coy Commander

 

3 x USMC Platoon Commanders.

 

At this rate I may need to "cross level" some people out of Blue into Green, but I'd rather not do that if I can.

1 x Battlefield promotion coming up.

 

Of course 66B owns Warhorse so its not really "instead of", more like "and".

 

This may work out easier to manage if I need to cull the MG teams.

Yeah cool, given that its 20 odd vehicles of varied type and role with dismounts etc ill probably need a hand with it though (if we want some of it to survive and/or be effective! ).

D u k e is going to run the CAV Sqn - it will need to support both the rest of Blue as well as Green.

 

Hedgehog has volunteered to be the Blue FO.

 

Need a Green one too (since Blue can't access the Green artillery). Alternativey a late change maybe to allocate all the Artillery to Blue and remove it from Green, so one player can control the fires for both.

Do you want a "planning" scenario file?

 

This would only be good for doing a recon with. It would let Blue and Green look at the ground (but would not have any OPFOR units) so you could plot routes and work out times to locations, get an understanding of your unit capabilities, etc.

 

You should not make a plan file based on this as it is not the scenario file we will use on the night.

SITREP as at 22 Mar 18 (D-9):

 

Mission 1 should be with me tonight.

 

By this weekend, my time, I should have all three missions up for the respective commanders to start planning and will be issuing orders as the Blue OC for mission 1 (as I built 2 and 3 and am running Red, someone else will be COing Blue and Blue / Green).

 

Then we have a week for COs to co-ord their people prior to execution.

 

There are still vaccanicies for anyone interested in attending.

 

New players, don't be intimidated by the scope of the activity. Just can ask to command a single vehicle if that is what you are comfortable with.

Mission 1: Built. At QA stage.

 

Mission 2: Built. At QA stage.

 

Mission 3: Built. At QA stage.

 

Tomorrow:

 

I will write orders (and create plan file) for Mission 1.

 

Links for Mission 2 and 3 files will be sent by PM to key players so they can start creating plan files and passing them around.

 

Mid week:

 

Will upload the final versions of the files to the respective Mission Threads.

Gibson im sorry but i will need to step down down from the role of  “4-1”  for this mission. Something has come up for me on Sunday and ill need to get a few hours sleep (it involves in-laws). I may participate in mission 3 if the previous missions are well ahead of schedule, but it seems unlikely.

Understood - RL trumps sim every time.

 

It is unfortunate though as the USMC Infantry is a big part of Green.

 

I'll talk to Green and Blue before we start and see if we an cross level players.

 

There's always a chance that you might make it or that we will get a drop in to cover for you, but we'll sort it out.
