I bought Six Days In Fallujah yesterday and refunded It after 20mins. Reasons...

I'm not touching it.

When a game is in development for THAT long then it becomes very difficult to believe in its sudden re-vitalization and release.

There are red flags with everything I've seen with this game, and the final red flag for me was the developers saying that the game will be in Early Access for at least another year.

I'm not supporting this. Gaming consumers need to wake up. Stop supporting this crap.

Yeah I agree.

I have become more conscious as to what games I buy now day´s. I can maybe spend 10-15 bucks In a EA game that shows that the dev(s) are still working on the game at present, but that´s about It. I mean If a guy Is a solo dev and he has been working hard on the game since release, then yeah I might give him the benefit of the doubt. But I am a lot more picky now.  Aside that I have a ton of games which Is embarrassing! 😄

Absolutely.

There's a reason why I will continue to throw money at products from guys like Marco Amadei (Easy Red 1/2) and Valentine Lievre (Hex of Steel / Beasts of Steel) - one man developers who are just crushing it. Their games may not be perfect or AAA quality, but they are talented developers who consistently seek feedback AND implement feedback from their player base.

Nuclear Option is also a day 1 purchase for me. It's an independent Unity game, but the developer has great ambition and he's highly receptive towards feedback from his players. It may not be DCS-level of realism but its already got more depth and entirely more fun than DCS.

@Apocalypse 31 day 1 purchase for me too.

Just In case someone wants to start off...

Personally I didn´t pick the medic class but did the M4A1. As a beginner, and with older eyesight, I did pick a medium mag scope paired with a canted sight. Apart from the eyesight thingy, the other reason Is that as a beginner you need to get used to being able to differentiate the players from the surroundings at long distances, and to look ahead before running Into a new AO, a medium mag scope will help you with that.  Aside from this, It makes sense to pick the medic as the video explains.

Didn´t bother with the other attachments mentioned aside from the underbarrel handle and muzzle (not the one mentioned).

It has changed hands a few times now. It hasn't truly been in development for that long, it just got cancelled due to political backlash.

  • 1 month later...

We are  heavily engaged in the Bekka Valley in Cast Malice (Steel beasts, Arma 3, Easy Red 2, DCS. MAPEX) We've probably had 40 players involved in the past few weeks..

This developer is killing it.

Beasts of Steel is a hybrid Turn-based strategy and First person shooter where players will maneuver units on a hex-base wargame map but resolve engagements via a first person game mode.

Very early closed-beta. lots of placeholders, but really impressive so far.
