Hedgehog
Hello, What is the Troop capacity of the ASLAV 25 in SB Pro PE? Did a forum search, but, nada. (Yes, I know in the ADF there is no such thing as a troop capacity on the ASLAV 25 as you've filled it with fridges and things.) Thanks
Gibsonm
Well then you have your answer. If you really want to know "How many dismounts can you jam into an ASLAV when you want you use it as a proxy for something else?" then there was a post about that, but as its then no longer an ASLAV as in "Australian LAV" ... I think 2.

When its usaully 40c plus and you are 300km+ from the nearest medical support, its a good idea to keep blood plasma and other medical stores cool. Plus in each 3 vehicle patrol, we have an ASLAV-PC variant that carries the dismounts. There's a whole section in the Wiki devoted to it: "Due to Autralian requirements, including carrying additional water and spare wheels, the ASLAV-25 doesn't tend to operate with dismounts. Nike-Ajax
Hmmmm .... very interesting: You change both the operational use and tactical application of the wheeled IFV, to suit the sometimes rather extreme operational requirements of the Australian continent. Aussies are some clever folk living in an environment that sorts out the foolish ones that cant adapt. We never specified that it had to carry dismounts when we bought them and we employed them in accordance with our doctrine. The "operational use and tactical application" is exactly in accordance with how we intended to use them. And its not an IFV, its a LAV. Even the USMC call them LAV's and use them as a recon vehicle, not an IFV. Edited May 10, 2018 by Gibsonm
