Botas
New player here - In the original SB's map screen you could hold the space bar and see colour-coded elevation. Is this not implemented in Pro-PE?
Gibsonm
Welcome! No, it isn't. The elevation for the cursor's location is displayed on the panel to the right of the map. Some maps display shading but its not activated by a button - its either "on" or "off" depending on the setting and if the map supports it. Members Ssnake
It's one of the things that I'm sad about having to let it go; the relief shading has in parts made up for it but the fundamental problem is that the original SB was guaranteed not to exceed 100m height difference per map whereas SB Pro (2.x and later) can have, at least in theory, up to 25km height variation. Applying the same eight bit color shading palette would make the feature entirely useless for the originally intended purpose, to show the small dips and elevations that offer advantages in positioning. A 16 bit greyscale shading most people wouldn't find too helpful either if the shade differences are just too similar.
