Lower roads vs raising roads: Embankment angle problem

If I raise a road the embankment angle setting seems to work as expected, so raising a road 10 meters with a 20 degree embankment gives this:

 

 

But if you instead lower a road, it seems to always give a almost vertical embankment with any setting:

Definitely could be used for that, but I was just trying to get a little stream sit maybe half a meter below the terrain but was always getting a steep wall on either side instead of a gentle slope.

Can you post a few screenshots of the parameters that you use when applying the "raise road" feature which lead to this strange result?

Here's a more direct demo with a +10 to -10 ramp showing the same effect: the negative end has steep embankments and the positive end has shallow embankments:

Sorry I forgot the "left click" bit above, I'll edit it.

You are confusing up two different functions Gibson.

 

F1+ left klick brings you into the 3D world

Ctrl + F1 opens up a smaller 3D window when in the map editor still, so if you move in the small 3D window the tadpole in the map will follow and show what you are looking at.
