Could you mention the scenarios you are trying to load (their exact names).  You don't have to list all of them. But if you are loading the ones in the "Scenarios" path (not "My Scenarios"), which would be the ones included in the install, then they will all work. So, in that case, did you install the big map installer?

These two warning messages suggest that the map download manager was not installed correctly (or that there are other reasons blocking its use... not, I believe, that this would really help you in this case, I'm just mentioning it to draw your attention to other issues also going on.

Now, specifically "blank.ter" and "Hannover-Weserbergland.ter" have definitely been converted by us, and are part of the map installer. If such an error message occurs I think it's definitely time to consider if something went wrong with the installation itself. Like, you installed Steel Beasts first, and then installed the map packages afterwards - but entered a different file path (don't do that).

I didn't change anything the map installer placed the maps here;

Its funny the ATGm tutorial works out of the gate, the sinai works out of the gate but the rest will not.

user folder

I have installed 3 times whipped clean, could it be that I don't install the game in the C:\\program files\esims game, but place it outside program files as you see up at number 2.

So you went into "Offline Session" and the scenarios when you go there fail to work? If so, at the top of that page, where does the "Look In" point to? Does it point to "My Scenarios / "?

yes the paths are correct.

If all else fails, try uninstalling and reinstalling again. SB first, then maps second, making sure to have the map package path the same in both installs.

where should the map package be installing? When I run the installer, is the tree correct that I posted?

The default path for maps is:

C:\ProgramData\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\maps\packages

(at least for Windows 7)

Do you have any folders in that path? If so, what do you have?

Windows 10 1903 latest update. this is what in there.

posted earlier, this is where it installed the maps

That looks completely screwed up.  I did default and its programdata > eSims Games > Steel Beasts > maps > packages > and then the folder names for the map packages.  Windows 10.  Your map folders are several folder levels up from where they should be.

So...

1) Go to C:\ProgramData\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\maps  and create  Packages  folder there

2) Move all maps, e.g. all folders EXCEPT: Callsign Templates, Unit Templates, displayoptions, and, obviously maps, scenarios and operations from  C:\ProgramData\eSim Games\Steel Beasts to C:\ProgramData\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\maps\Packages.

3) Start SB Pro PE v.4.1 as  administrator, select  Options and then File Paths and set  a  new  file path for the packages folder e.g. C:\ProgramData\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\maps\Packages  by clicking 'Map package folder' and selecting appropriate path in dialog which will open.

Is eSim Games going to provide a patch to fix all this map BS.? Because the majority of the scenarios i have downloded in the past don't work, and i'm not interested in downloading individual files and putting them somewhere...

Thank You.

The scenarios downloaded in the past may have other maps of modified maps as a basis.

This may entirely be usermade content. Not much that esim can do in that case...so it might need at least some effort by your side to match up the map with the scenario of interesst. Hope that is not asked too much from you.

ok, fixed the display issue, to point to the map packages , you only have to go to maps.

now none of the missions or maps will run.

now all maps ask for UID?

UIDeverythingnow.thumb.jpg.0286870fa0c34f176a4f14323e308be1.jpg

all these maps in here ask for UID now.

allthesemapsnpolongerworkUIDisaskedforallnow.thumb.jpg.fd5fb0b687f3327ed304cdc152ebbee8.jpg

Instant action no longer working, nor training.. so frustrating......nor the individual equipment... i.e. M1A1, M1A2...ect..

should the terrain, height, themes be in packages?

Instead of step 3 try uninstalling and reinstalling Steel Beasts, that may work.

I had to:

1. manually create C:\ProgramData\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\maps\Packages

2. install the maps to that directory.

3. Uninstall and reinstall Steel Beasts

Nothing else worked for me
