Gibsonm
In the absence of a nice, simple, easy, check box in the weather options (Fog: Y/N or Mist: Y/N), how do you create fog (and / or mist)? I'm guessing low cloud ceiling, overcast conditions, low wind and over time gradually increase the visual range? I'm also so guessing that adding light rain to the above mix converts fog into mist? Members Ssnake
Much simpler: "Visibility" If you set the visibility to 500m, well, that's already pretty dense fog (sure, could be down to 50m in real life). Then you can gradually increase the range as mission time progresses. Thermal visibility is optical range x3 - as long as it's not raining. With the heaviest rain level (extreme) it equals the optical range.

If daysight visibility limit is set above 10,000m, the thermal limit will be identical.
