Abraxas
Our good comrade "Eisenschwein" has died! "Ich hatt' einen Kameraden,..." This old German soldier's song inevitably comes to my mind with this sad news. We both served in the same PzBtl 74 and knew each other. We fought together in the virtual PzBtl 911. Now he has passed away and I am deeply saddened by the loss of a real comrade, a straight, decent and reliable person. You will be missed by me and by us, even if the memory of you remains. My sincere sympathy goes to his wife: may she be strong in this difficult time! Rest in peace, Ulf! In sorrow, but "In Treue fest!"
Froggy
That's a very sad news. He has made a lot for SB and the multiplayer community with his missions during LNoT. RIP kameraden

Lumituisku
Such saddening news. I hardly knew him other than his user icon. But what little he wrote in the forums was always a kind of text that woke feelings of a deep respect towards him. Rest in peace Eisenschwein

Nike-Ajax
Sadly I never met him. But from what limited contact I had and what he wrote here, he seemed a very good and nice man. We stand poorer in his absence Requiescat in pacem

Gibsonm
Shocked to hear this. Apart from forum posts I had spoken to him once or twice. A gruff "frank but fearless" person who could rub people the wrong way, but I'm sure his heart was in the right place. I don't know any details but I hope he went peacefully and in no pain. He will be missed. RIP kameraden

I will regret not getting to know him better for a very long time. LOT is forever changed..(: RIP Patriot.
Lt DeFault
Very sad. R.I.P., Ulf. I did notice his absence from the forums. I had very little interaction with him, personally. Can't remember if we ever fought together/against each other on the virtual battlefield - but I think there is a very good chance we did at some point. He was certainly not afraid to say what he thought and felt - and I admire that. And I always appreciated his insights about the Leo 1. I hope his family will know he will be missed here. Panzer_Leader
I'm shocked and saddened to see this. Rest in peace Eisenschwein and condolences to his family and friends. I served in his platoon (very badly) during one online action and remember his helpful input to my 'Area Reconnaissance at Neustadt am Rübenberge 1989' scenario kindly. He will be missed.
