Looks like I’m out.

Get up at 0500 only to find that your server needs some newer copy of the TS client than is on my Mac. (the SB TS server doesn’t have this limitation).

See you whenever I get home I guess. :(

Alright so a few technical issues that probably warrants being addressed:

1) Never ever interact with anything ingame in a MP session until the flashing "Waiting for others" disappears - nothing new here. In this case it crashed my server, which is a first.

2) In general wait until the server is stable before going into the world view. Same as above.

More ominously or problematic is a rather nasty issue we encountered last night:

3) When moving dugouts/fighting positions the game became unstable and people started to drop out and the game became extremely unstable and freezing. We had to restart the session several times. I havent noticed this previously, but it was BAD.

Quickfix seems to be that the CO moves the fighting positions as part of his plan so previously and in another session. And we only move one or two in game session and only if there is a really good reason.

I cant post my AAR as per @Kingtiger ´s previous post it seems corrupted, which by the way is strange: I have opened it twice with no issues so seems to another bug or issue.

As I've said on November 7th:

" Hi, Here are the current themes for all my maps and scenarios, because the new version 4.1 reacts more sensitive. Good luck in your battles and please my maps! "

otherwise you'll have such bumpy terrain!

So once more the themes and the values.

This maybe similar to outcomes described here:

Yes that does sound exactly the same except that we used fighting pits/positions, so seems like an overall problem:

It was a client (the acting CO) that moved them, while i literally did nothing at the server end.

Off to Mr Google to work out the English equivalents.

Well that was less than productive.

The first column was ok - Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring

The second column - no matches

Then I tried across the top

"0 Dreck" = Unpleasant Dirt - ?????

"1 Rasen" = To rush - ?????

I tried to open an existing Theme and compare the entries but that is painful (new Support post to follow).

I can guess / vaguely recall that "Wasser" = water, but most of the rest, no idea I'm afraid.

Can you possibly post the English / SB equivalent terms?

Hi Gibsonm,

Why does everyone expect English to be used? German is also a worldwide used language!

Here are the translations:

Spring, summer, winter:

0 dirt, 1 lawn, 2 sand, 4 gravel, 9 undergrowth, 11 rock, 12 heath, 13 grass, 8 corn, 7 beets, 6 rape, 10 grain, 3 water, 5 swamp, needle, leaves

Autumn:

0 soil, 1 meadow, 2 sand, 4 scree, 9 scrub, 11 rock, 12 heath, 13 marshland, 8 field, 7 field, 6 field, 10 field, 3 water, 5 swamp, needle, leaves

Better to use PONS translater (de.pons.com)!

I don't - hence why I tried to do the translations myself and indeed attempted to load your themes in my copy to see if that would give me the English equivalents.

Neither of these worked so I asked here.

Thank you.

Although I still don't have the second column: "Bodenwiderstand", ...

FYI de.pons.com is unable to translate Bodenwiderstand:

A bit more progress:

Starting to get somewhere.

Now that I can actually open the Theme Editor I see:

So they are numbered, just not visible in the palette??

Now I know that 0 Dirt = Dirt, then I can work out Abraxas's entries:

1338987627_AbraxasTerrainThemese.thumb.png.447e860f9460cada804c5fdacef3469d.png

0 Dreck = 0 Dirt

1 Rasen = 1 Grass

2 Sand = 2 Sand

3 Wasser = 3 Water

4 Schotter = 4 Gravel

...

And for the second column I'm going with:

Bodenwiderstand = Drag

Bodenwiderstand (na*) = Drag (wet)

Traktion = Traction

Traktion (na*) = Traction (wet)

Tragfahigkeit = Hardness

Tragfahigkeit (na*) = Hardness (wet)

Welligkeit = Bumpiness

Staubneigung = Dustiness

* = key not available on my keyboard

If I haven't lined them up correctly can a German speaker let me know?
