SB Pro Map Tools V19 error

Recommended Posts

The SB Pro Map Tools V19 shows me this error! I don't understand what that is supposed to be! How can I solve the problem?

Please start the services manager ("Dienste") and check for the service, then right-click and stop it.

After a few seconds, just to make sure that it stays dead, you should be able to start it again.

If it doesn't, the service hasn't been stopped orderly. In that case try to remove the file "%ProgramData%\eSim Games\Steel Beasts Map Tools\IPC\PackageDownloadManagerMutex". Afterwards things should be back to normal.

I have the same problem. After deleting the file PackageDownloadManagerMutex, the program opens, but it can't connect and both query and add download button are greyed out.

Is there anything in the other thread (link above) about this?

I gave it a search, I read about the exact same problem as mine, which some happened to solve. Here, I tried everything, Services, deleting the IPC file, restarting, stopping, killing, restarting pc, reinstalling the app. In the rare cases when I manage to get the app's icon to show up in taskbar, it always remains red.

Could you please paste the content of the 'ServiceLog.txt' file? There should be a link to the 'Service Log Folder' in the Map Tools' Start Menu folder..

Have found that as soon as I close the program incorrectly, I can no longer start it! If I close it with the red hexagon X, everything is OK! If I close it with the X, I can no longer start it!

'Close' button  minimizes program to tray, and you need to restore  it from tray instead attempting to launch another instance(this is not possible   without --ignorelock' command line option). To quit(terminate) program you need to use red hexagon  key marked with X.

For the record I had the same issue -- was unable to restore it from the tray, even after closing it and deleting the mutex. I had to reinstall the Map Tools a couple of times before I got it to work reliably (and I don't dare click on the X that minimizes again)

This is very weird.. could you please download the attached script and execute it (I know, that's dangerous on the internet but I promise this script is OK 🐵 ? It will produce a file called 'SentThisToEsimGames.txt' on your desktop, could you please then either paste its contents here or upload it? For some reason it seems that the tools are configured wrongly, so that they cannot communicate correctly..
