Hedgehog Posted April 22, 2020 Share Posted April 22, 2020 Hello. Formation Edumacation. The "3 Up" Formation (see Picture attached): There many nuanced parts to these battle formations. I am sure Serving Commonwealth personnel can "fill in the blanks" subject to OPSEC So the three tanks are line guns front left/right as required. The troop leader trails as this allows for greater control. Notice the Troop Sgt is on point, his experience is vital in moving the troop in best possible way, taking advantage of cover, best route, etc. When going Firm the Troop leader occupies a flank as per the best tactical advantage. There is a variation on this called the "2 Up" can you guess what it is? The Box Formation: Four tanks on the corners of the box thus: Sgt Cpl Cpl Sgt Or Cpl Ldr Ldr Cpl Guns Forward or traversed to cover the outer flanks. Will need a refresher of the Kanium comms though as last time I commanded a platoon I got a bit overwhelmed with the different channels. And sometimes we succeed ... 😁 As for time, then reference the World clock 1800 GMT in the initial post - that should give you your local time, every time. As for additional info, then may I suggest being there about 30 mins early so we can sort out your TS, whisper lists etc. Also we will find you a seat as a gunner if that is to your pleasure - but entirely up to you.
