As the title says. I'm trying to update the Brave Rifle campaign, and other stuff, to work on 4.1

When I open Zipuli's old missions I see this:

How do I know what to select? I also saw a "fulda gap" map above in the list, which SEEMED to work but i cant remember what the Steelbeasts map trace is SUPPOSED to look like to verify. Any suggestions?

This is a general question - not specific to BR, we may want to play other missions in multi and trying to figure out best practice.

I don't think there is an easy way to work out which is the "right" one - very happy if someone can show me.

To be honest I resorted to extracting the maps via the 4.0x Mission Editor and then converting them and saying them as say "Brave Rifles Mission 1" just so I have a straight forward way of linking one map to one scenario.

Hi Gibson long time no see! Glad to see you're still around.

Is there any documentation on what you said?

Do you have a SB 4.0 version installed and a 4.1 version installed? Would appreciate any color/details here.

Hi,

I've seen it when 4.1x first came out but can't remember the exact thread.

Basically:

1. Open in 4.0x Mission Editor (assumes its not password protected).

2. Select "Extract Map" from the Map menu. This creates a TER file.

3. Import that into the 4.1x Map Editor (note this only does the part of the maps that a scenario uses - for BR you may end up with several as the action moves East).

4. Open the 4.1x Map Editor and open a "Default map".

5. Use the 4.1x Map Editor "Map Package from TER" menu to convert the file (make sure you use the date / time information from the 4.0 Mission Editor.

6. Edit the theme to reduce the bumpiness etc. that 4.0x relied on.

I use the the information provided here by Abraxas for Europe:

7. Publish that map.

8. Open the Scenario in 4.1x and update using that newly created map.

Yes, still active.

"Retirement" - well I serve at the pleasure of the Sovereign.

Also re BR you may find other challenges beyond converting the maps, given that a lot of this have changed - Infantry no longer sprites, etc.

Cheers! I wish I was as bad ass as you.
