Members Ssnake
The community of armor enthusiasts has suffered one of the biggest possible losses today.Word has it that Jacques Littlefield has passed away. Mr. Littlefield was known in the armor world for the largest privately owned collection of armored fighting vehicles, especially MBTs. Only about half of his private collection could be turned over to his foundation yet. Let's hope that the collection will be kept intact.Mr. Littlefield probably was one of the few committed to the preservation of armored fighting vehicles of the 20th century - and certainly the only one with the financial means to actually go out, buy them, and restore them to pristine condition.

flyboy
In shock....only just watched the panther special on youtube.I agree he was a leader in the preservation that few museums could match.May he find a piece of heaven where roars the sound of Maybachs,Continentals and Leylands..
daskal
Just saw a documentary last week on TV where he and his collection was also showed. That kinda schocking, escpecially at this young age. Hedgehog
Indeed a sad time.He was 59 and died of cancer. However he has done a lot to preserve many rare vehicles. His latest project was the Churchill based toad.Glad he lived to see it finished.
