4.259 - Issues reported during KANIUM mission: Sunday 4th of April

There were reports at this morning's (my time) Kanium session of:

 

1. Guns failing to fire.

 

2. Some sort of terrain issues ("steps" appearing on roads).

 

I didn't experience either (I'm not saying they didn't happen) and hopefully there will be some follow up posts here.

 

The session was hosted in the US, and I suspect in terms of "hops" my client machine was equidistant to those (I think predominantly in Northern Europe) who did experience the issue(s).

 

Hoping that those who experienced the issues follow up with details either here or in their own dedicated posts.

PS.: guns not firing(and no turret control) may be due to the AI crew going into emergency mode when traversing forests...and when the player hops in, he needs to go back to stab on...

Yes I heard this this morning too.

 

Is this new to 4.259?

 

If so I don't see it mentioned in the release notes. The work "emergency" only shows up once (for Bug #9534).

 

Nor is this response to a forest detailed in the Manual (at least a search for "emergency" doesn't reference it).

For cv90s that has been behavior for years i think? And possibly for a number of other vehicles too. Thought first one comes to mind as its not easy for rookie to turn it on if he doesn't know how.

Again not experienced by myself, nor did I hear any comments from any non Europeans (including UK residents) about this.

Perhaps this is something else to include when the Manual gets its rewrite - as it not currently included.

On the plus side: huge match with 18 players and a ~25x40km map with high detail and loads of units...went well and without hearing from any FPS issues.

Oh agreed, I was just noting one or two comments I heard in the post game chat / AAR.

 

Certainly happy with the performance at my end as a "remote" client.
