SITUATION


General.

NVA MotSchtz Division is attacking in area Soltau-Bergen and has forced a breach between Munster and Hermannsburg. The Forward Detachment (FD) has been destroyed and is withdrawing towards Witzendorf. Witzendorf has been lost to ENY Mech BTN and the reimaining unit FD units are reinforcing Witzendorf until further reinforcements is arriving.

 

OWN Forces:
332nd PzG BTN is holding Munster
22nd Arm BDE elements is holding Hermanssburg.
731st Jager Battalion is dugin in Soltau and Dorfmark
3311st HeimatschutzKompanie is securing bridges over the River Böhme
33 BDE HQ in Bomlitz.
331st PZ BTN, CSS and ENG assets.

331st Pz BTN has halted ENY Forward Detachment in advancing further in our AO. Our counterattack has driven ENY EAST of river near crossing B8. Unfortunately

 

ENY was able to blow bridge and 331st doesnt have the strength to force a crossing. We hold west bank and will attempt to pince remaining ENY with the bridges we currently control.

 

2nd COY, 11th PanzerAuf. is ready recon furth EAST to locate withdrawing forces and keep pressure on ENY. They will furthermore identify possible approached for a BDE retaking of Witzendorf and close the gap.

 

1st COY, 332nd Pz Grenadier will attack ENY position near B15 north of Soltau. They have been reinforced with 3rd PLT of 331st Pz BTN. ENY forces in that area is surrounded and will most likely attempt to break free eastward when they realize their situation.

 

ENY Forces:


Dispositions:
9th NVA PzD(CAT A), first echelon forces comprising of 9th Motorised Rifle Regiment (9th MRR) with 21st Armor Regiment (21st ARR) in reserve, with Engr Plt,, Arty Bty, ATGM Plt, AD Plt, is currently falling back towards Witzendorf. Witzendorf is currently held by ENY mech forces currently digging in.

Surviving TNK COY is withdrawing EAST with support units and we believe tactical important area will be heavily defended.

 

Capabilities:
Equipment; BMP-2, BMP-1 , T-72M, T-55AM, 2S1, Engineer MTLB, ZSU-23/4, AT-3.

 

Combat Effectiveness:
MRR is likely to be between 65-75% Combat Effective.

MISSION:
 

Mission & Tasks.

332nd BG:
 

Mission:
    ATTACK WEST from PL BRAVO to PL YANKEE and destroy any ENY encountered, Limit of Exploitation (LoE) PL YANKEE!!!
    Purpose. Destroy any ENY north of SOLTAY IOT secure NORTH-SOUTH bound reinforcements. Defend PL YANKEE and prevent ENY movements.
    Outcome: ENY destroyed. 332nd and 331st able to attack EAST to destroy ENY between SOLTAY and MUNSTER.

 

Tasks:
    ATTACK WEST and defeat EF in AO PL Bravo to PL YANKEE
    SECURE and CLEAR OBJ ZM1 to ZM6
    IF ENY is enountered ZR1 take and hold objective.
    SECURE access to ROAD 356 from SOLTAU to WOLTERDINGEN
    SECURE PL YANKEE
    DO NOT advance further than PL YANKEE

 

1st COY, 11th:
 

Mission:
    RECON EAST from current position to provide BDE intelligence on key locations and routes for further attack EAST. Limit of Exploitation (LoE) PL WHISKEY!!!
    Purpose: Recon EAST and determine ENY positions. AREA recon BDE assigned zone and objectives. Destroy any recon assets. Bypass and mark bigger locations and report to BDE.
    Outcome: ENY defensive stronghold and positions located. Possible BDE attack routes identified. Recon losses keept to minimal.    

 

Tasks:
    RECON EAST betweem PL YANKEE and PL WHISKEY
    DETERMINE EF in ZR1-ZR8
    IF ENY is encountered in ZR1 report ENY positions to 331nd BG for follow on attack
    DESTROY RECON forces encountered below PLT strenght. DO NOT allow yourself to get FIXED in position!
    BYPASS ENY strongpoints if bigger than PLT strenght. MARK and REPORT
    DO NOT advance further than PL WHISKEY    

 

BDE Recon:
Mission:
    RECON towards HERMANNSBURG. Limit of Exploitation (LoE) PL WHISKEY!!! Do not exceed
    boundries unless BDE approves.

 

Tasks:    
    RECON ZB1-3
    RECON B21 and establish contact with UK forces in HERMANNSBURG
    DESTROY ENY recon or bypass if bigger than PLT size
    Maintain combat effective!

After last Sundays glitches with the CV 90's can we get a watered down version of this so during the week we can work out if there's any bugs with the units. Unless those bugs are online related, then maybe schedule a bug recon match ?

There is currendly small mildly annoying bug that does affect marder multicrew.   When commander uses zoom key  it will  cause gunners sight to zoom as well. 

Beside that...  I don't believe there to be other  bugs on these vehicles that are going to be used.   Also we used these same vehicles last weeks mission and there was no major problems. 

(beside HE rounds not being able to kill vehicles unless those have impact mode. [yesterdays mission leopards had HE-T rounds but those were impact versions .]

Marders use regular HE rounds, but of such small caliber that those are less likely to kill AFVs anyways, and you still have AP rounds plenty so that shouldn't be a problem)

I am of the mindset to take nothing for granted. It never hurts to double check. There are also other units other than Marder to have issues. It would be like testing your brakes before you go down hill with your hefty mother in law sitting in the back seat :)
