ben
In SB v4.265 Troops won't go into nearby bunkers when they have a defend waypoint. Bug or feature?!
Lumituisku
Make sure you have these settings set correct? I had this happen before... because it was set on "Stay outside"
Members Ssnake
Hard to say without knowing specifics. Bunkers have limited capacity, so maybe max occupancy was already reached. Or the bunker faced a different direction. What's the tactic the troops were on, "Stay"?
ben
Definitely on Defend tactic, and the scenarios worked on previous version.. I will submit an example

Gibsonm
What I tend to do is have the unit start a short distance behind the bunker (say 20 - 30m). Then set a route for them to move forward and have the end point with the "defend" tactic "in" the bunker. As per the attached, which works for me at least. 4_265 MG entering Bunker.sce

It even works without the route, I just set them to defend where they are. They go in bunker. I cant understand why several of my old missions have been misbehaving. I cant recreate the problem now, a mystery.
Members Ssnake
Do you still have one of your legacy scenarios that don't work properly? I'd be interested in it for our automated tests.

I'd be interested in it for our automated tests. I have gone back and all scearios are working as intended. Maybe it got fixed when I changed my settings for "Prefer Facing, Any Floor" etc. - Question about these "Prefer Facing, Any Floor" settings: When I make a Scenario are my current Troop Buliding Waypoint Settings "Baked into" the scanario? Or does each scanario I play use my current settings? I assume the First option? (I am talking about the routes and waypoint that are part of the scenario, not those added by player at runtime) Edited July 12, 2021 by ben
Members Ssnake
Your current settings during the planning and execution phase will override the settings. I'm not sure if the scenario defaults will still apply to computer-owned units, or what happens to other parties. Someone ought to test this.
