Can bridges be destroyed/denied in game?

Hi,

 

Without editing an actual map, is it possible to destroy a bridge with artillery or air attack or deny it with mines/obstacles?

You can use IEDs to blow them.  And yes you can place minefields.  If you want the mines to spawn later during a mission then use FASCAM artillery.

Sufficiently large IEDs, that is. Start with a 500lb aircraft bomb. Flimsy bridges will do with much less, the super-heavy ones might require one or multiple of the bigger JDAMs. Proper placement is crucial, should be located near one of the pillars but not AT the pillar if you just want to remove a single bridge segment (so an AVLB can still cover the gap). With multiple adjacent segments blown, bridging the bridge is no longer an option.
