RO6_2_Phase_Attack

1) Lage/Situation:
  

Long tensions between GRÜNSTONIA and REDSLAVONIA over the VARENA Provinces are likely to escalate.

 

VARENA is an integral part of GRÜNSTONIA(GR), however, during times of REDSLAVONIAN occupation of the area, many REDSLAV citizen settles in the province.

 

The current REDLSAV: Government is trying to use this minority in order to assert influence over GRÜNSTONIA, with the ultimate goal of reoccupation.

To this end, REDLSAV. is also funding and training anti goverment militias in the VARENA area...
   
    a) Feind/Enemy:

 REDSLAV forces have crossed the border into GR.  Supportt by the "purple Front" militias they have surrounded the main town of VARENA

And REDLSAV BTG is on the way into the area, a company size Vaguard already in GERISKA , north west of VARENA

Enemy BTG is mainly made up of forces fom 223th guard tank Rgt.  Most likely 1 TankBN + 1or 2 MechInf companyies.
Artillery and NBC defence troop attachments  have been spotted.                  
 

In order to stop BLAUSTRIAN(BL) forces from supporting their neighbor, an airassault has been conducted north of the MAMEL river.
                   

Militia forces have also captured and blocked several BL border stations.
                      

ENEMY airdrop consists of one company paratroopers (BMD-2) supportet by assault guns (CENTAURO)

                    

Enemy most likely intent is to bind our forces north of the river long enough to gain and secure the border area between us and VARENA in order to force negotiations and ceassesion of parts or the whole province
                      
    b) Eigene/OWN:

  Currently only  2nd company of PzBN 34 and one Jäger-company (5. JgBN 71) are garrisoning the area.
                    

Reinforcements fom PzBN 34 and MechBN 33 including Fire support units, are on the way.
They will reach the area in approx.. 1 hour
            

GR goverment units will coordinate their Attack with us, and will attack towards VARENA from the southwest once we have crossed the river.

      

2) Auftrag/Mission:
     

BL units are tasked to destroy the enemy airborne units and secure the enemy  LZ and the Border post.
          

After that, use the arriving reeforcement to take and hold the town of GERISKA iot to stop REDSLAV form gaining control of the province

 

3) Durchführung/Tasks:
        
       PHASE one:

                  - 2./PzBN 34: immidiatly attack the enemy LZ and neutralize all enemy forces in the area
                  - 5. JgBN71: retake the borderstation to your southeast. Then take and secure bridgeheads at crossing points A/B       IOT allow Mechnized units to attack GERISKA

        PHASE two:

                 4. PzBN 34 and 3. MechBN 33 will cross the river and attack GERISKA
                  - They are to neutralize enemy forces in the Town
                  - then defend GERISKA against a counterattack on the enemy BTG

 

4) Unterstützung, Unterstellungen und Abgaben (Support/CSS/ Attachments/detachments):

    a) Artillerie:
                -One Battery M109 (2 platoon, 4 guns each) Ammunition: HE/SMK/SMARt    
                      - organic Mortar plt from 5.JgBN 71 (4 tubes 81mm)

    b) Versorgung/CSS:

        - CSS elements in position at the staging area.
                    - spare sparts are available to repair all damages (very quickly 😉 ) at the FSB (CSS)
                    - CSS2 can be activated by trigger, suggest only to be done once GERISKA has been secured
                    - further supply ARV/medic units on the way, ETA roughly 1 hour

 

    c) Unterstellungen / Abgaben:
        - Engineer Assets TACON for the mission, currently tasked to support  5. JgBN 71
