As SB Pro is a single core application, four cores do not help at all. There was some trouble with NVidia drivers that resulted in comparatively bad performance by GTX 280 and 285 cards, but I think that the problem went away as well with the latest drivers.

Ssnake, I just re-ran the test and yes I do get 15fps with all settings at maximum.

I have now turned them down, General to 100 and the others a default.

I get 47 - 62 fps now :)

Though for a test we should all use the same settings.

What does the Ground setting do?

Please run the benchmark sce developed for this thread, otherwise you are just muddying the water here. The directions are in the results spreadsheet at the top of this thread, and kingtiger linked to the sce itself a few more posts down.

Ground controls how far out ground clutter is rendered.

It will be interesting to see what the improvement in results will be in the new version, I'll have to make a new test on some maps that use the new buildings.
