Splash
The NORMALMAP file for the Uniform1970US infantry model is the inverse of what it should be. I temporarily installed a blank white skin for both 1970 and 1980 to help visualized the issue.
Apocalypse 31
Not a solution, but do you have a psd template for this? I asked in the mods thread.

DarkAngel
You can fix this locally in the short term (if it bothers you enough). The US1970 and US1980 are functionally identical. So if you copy the 1980's normal map somewhere and rename it to match the name of the 1970's normal map you can replace the 1970s normal map with it.
Splash
Yeah, already done on my end. There's a minor difference: the 80's version has a 2nd Cav patch while the 70's guy has a 3rd ID patch + PFC rank. Since those are included on the normalmap, the shadowing shows up on the model. Gotta look close for it, though.

Splash
Yup. That fixes the problem with the 70's dude. While you're looking, I noticed the Uniform1970RU normal file suffers -- to a lesser degree -- from the same issue.
