Codemeter container empty

Uninstalled 267, installed 268 now the codemeter container is empty. Last year I ordered a month time limited license because I lost the codemeter stick. Found it couple of months ago and could play with no problem. Now the container is empty. Pretty please help!

Most likely, you're looking at the virtual CodeMeter device "ESIMGAMES" that is being installed for time-based licenses whenever you install Steel Beasts. You can recognize it by its serial code prefix 32767-...

In your case, ignore it.

(Virtual CM sticks containing an actual license can be recognized by their serial code prefix 128-...)

Your CM stick would be recognizable by its prefix code 1-..., or 2-..., or 3-... (which indicates their production lot). So, in the example above, it'd be the one with name "eSim Ersatz" (since I made the screenshot a while ago and used one of my spare CM sticks for this reference).

Thinking some more about it, you probably launched the WebAdmin, which defaults to the list of available licenses on "the" CM container. But of course, every owner of a classic license with CM stick has multiple containers (two) on his computer. The virtual one, and the actual CM stick.

In the upper left hand corner below the navigation bar of the WebAdmin you can see the button "All Containers" (with the Very American cardboard file container box icon); click on it to see all the containers available on your machine, then pick your CM stick.

When I updated my game with the reinstalled version I seem to remember it creating a second codemeter entry for whatever reason but i believe my time license worked fine still. Was just a bit confusing when I went to renew. But it seems you dont have an extra license looking at your pictures.

128-... ist a left-over from a previous installation. 32767-... was generated when Steel Beasts was installed again. What's missing is the CodeMeter USB stick. You wrote that you found your old stick, but it doesn't seem to be plugged in (or wasn't properly recognized) when you made the WebAdmin screenshot. But if you have it plugged in while you're running SB Pro, I would expect that you get no error message because there is a valid license, just not on any of the virtual devices.

The stick was in the pc. I removed the stick, cleared the codemeter event window. Plugged in the stick and this is the event log:

The weird thing is that with version 268 it was fine and with 267 installed it does not work.

The "EBL trace" doesn't look nice, suggesting a (occasionally?) garbled communication of the CM runtime software with the CM stick. Wibu Systems is on the case; it appears as if there's a problem with the CodeMeter runtime version 7.40 causing this; I tried out a version 7.45 beta that made the problem go away, so I hope that it'll be released soon.

Should SB Pro PE stop working properly, please let me know by email.
