This will be a 3-part campaign, run every second Sunday - if all goes well. You are NOT under any obligation implied or practical, to have to participate in the next one if you play this. Nor do you have to have played this to play the next one. But it will be more fun 😁

 

For new players or players that havent played with us for a while: Please contact @Major duck or myself, to set up comms, right version and maps beforehand. Alternatively be there at least 30 mins before gametime.

For all players: From now on we will be there about 30 minutes before go time to test everything. If it isnt sorted before GO time, then we will have to start the game at the allotted time, for the benefit of all the other players.

1.Situation

a)Enemy:

 

Enemy is attacking west from Poizten and Kreutzen after they have seized Fassberg Airfield to our EAST. Witzendorf has been taken but fighting in the city continues.
    
Latest recon flight indicate a decimated regiment with heavy losses in their drive towards west. Markings identified them as 48th Guard Tank Regiment and their independent tank battalion.

 

S2 estimate they are putting the OMG BTN foward to attempt one last breakthrough at Tetendorf.

b)Own:

The 33rd Panzer Brigade has been forced back but in good order. We are still holding important. Soltau is still ours and in Munster fighting has been heavy. As predicited the ENY main advance was along COA-2 (Witzendorf area).

 

The 331st Pz BTN(mixed) is now West of River Böhme and has succeded in delaying ENY forces for several hours and is soon ready for a counterattack.

 

Engineers efforts West of River Böhme is finished and minefield is completed.

 

Your BTN has been reorganized into one battlegroup due to losses. North BG Meinholz (tank hvy) is holding the line. Our small reserve is heading to CSS units for repairs and rearm and is estimated ready in 30 minutes.

 

334 BTN will counter attack from SOLTAU north and secure northern flank and hopefully cut of ENY reinforcement.

 

BDE is about to begin with the counter attack but it is vital we destroy still the last ENY attempt at breaking out. You have 2x BTY M109 for tasking and 2x M106(Sect) for smoke missions. M109 is for HE and very limited ICM only. BDE is expecting a BTY of MARS rocket launchers to support your BTN.

 

2) MISSION:

You (CO BG Meinholz) will:

    1. DEFEAT ENY attack from Tetendorf.
    2. ATTACK Tetendorf and retake bridge crossings in that area (BA1-3).
    3. SECONDARY OBJ: Continue to attack WEST if possible and retake RONINS HILLS.
    4. TERTIERY OBJ: Provide support to 333BTN in their effeort to retake KINGTIGERS FORREST

Update From S2:

From available sources including SIGINT and LRRP units, then this is our best estimate of the ENY arrayed against us in the AO:

1) Remains of a ENY RECON COY: Estimated at 1 - 2 PLTs of BMP 1 and BRDM 2.
2) Two (2) TNK COY, with one forward and one back, both estimated at 3- 4 PLTs of T72B1, and formed in PLTs of 3 callsigns.
3) One (1) dispersed ENY INF COY, estimated at 3-4 PLTs of INF. 
4) Remains of one (1) ENY MECHINF COY, dispersed across the AO, estimated at 2-3 PLT of BMP-2.
5) Remains of one (1) ENY MECHINF COY, dispersed across the AO, estimated at around 2 PLT of BTR-80.
6) One HQ COY including artillery, CSS, support and some ATGMs. ATGMs from experience is likely  AT-4/AT-5.

It seems that many of these area arrayed in hasty defences, part from the ones readying to attack.
