Scrapper_511
Folks, don't forget to download the new maps released with 4.3. They're not automatically installed with the, uh, installer. You'll have to open up the Steel Beasts Package Transfer Manager, click 'Add package download', and cut and paste each map's UID (found in the 4.357 release notes), hit ok, and wait for each download to finish. Thanks for these interesting and nicely made maps, SB Team! I'm looking forward to using the new objects too.

WarUlf
just to clarify: The Ukraine maps are entirely based on open-source-data such as DTED2 and OSM GIS Data and is a mixture between Geospecifik (all High-rise, Commercial, Retail, Military, Airfields and Industrial areas)* and Geotypical (Villages and allotments) to lower unik polygon counts and increase frame rate as much as possible. *) Building heights are still Geotypical as there currently is no such open source data available for Ukraine area...yet For map improvements and changes simply contact me in this forum. or email me.
Haferja
Dumb question: Is there a list of all existing package unique ID (UID)?

Members Ssnake
We'll update the list. We don't actually want you to use the Ukraine maps that were listed in the 4.357 Release Notes because some of the files made them particularly slow to load. An updated version of these maps will be made public in a few days. Mission Designers are urgently advised to replace these maps in their scenarios with the new maps.

Slow to load....among a few of the reasons I'm not touching them. They all really need some human care - the building textures are rough, the village/town layouts are not anything that represents reality, there are also roads blocked in many cases by buildings. Members Ssnake
That the maps need touch-ups is undisputable, but they are what can be had on short notice from not-too-expensive commercial sources. The Kramatorsk map is definitely pushing the limits, but then again, you can always pick a small part of the map and still get adequate performance for company-sized maneuver (and that seems, by and large, the MO for both sides, the current UKR offensive notwithstanding).
