In the sim display all i have is 1920 all the other options are gone..How do i fix it??I usually play in 1280..

I'm, not entirely sure what the issue is based on the brief description.

Perhaps select "windowed" from within the "Display" menu under the "Options" main menu?

You can try to launch SB in a safe mode; this would reset display settings to 1024x768 resolution and overwrite user's options file. Shortcut for launching SB (v4.1 and newer) in this mode is located in Start menu> eSim Games- Steel Beasts Pro> Troubleshooting.

How do i launch in safe mode? I tried shift-alt-w that and shows 1920 x 1080, a small window pops up with different resolutions, only 1920x1080 will work other choices will not respond..

Also, Shift+Alt+W allows you to pick a specific window size.

Hm.

If you want us to investigate deeper, please run SB Pro 4.363 in "debug mode" and go to Main Menu - Options - Display and change some settings there.

Then install the latest version, and first, create a copy of the "safe mode" icon in the Troubleshooting folder, then edit it. Right-click the icon, then open the Properties dialog, and go to the "Target" field. Here, at the end of the command line (after --safemode), add  --loglevel=TRACE; maybe rename the shortcut to something else and change the icon to make it unique. Then start Steel Beasts again, with that shortcut, and try to make additional changes in Main Menu - Options - Display.

Then, open the Logs folder and send me debugLog.txt and debugLog_0.txt so that our programmers have something to compare. Also, open the Windows Start menu and type "dxdiag", then run the program of the same name. It will take a few seconds to open, and when that's done, click the second button from the bottom right ("Save all info" or similar) which will open a dialog box to let you choose where to save "DxDiag.txt"; save it, then send us that file too.

And then, it seems, you'd have to uninstall SB Pro PE again, and install 4.383 so you can resume playing Steel Beasts until we found a solution.

I tried that and it does now make the small white buttons for selecting, but the 1280-1080 takes up about 2/3rds of the screen and when i pull the sides out it goes back to 1920-1080..

I have a hard time imagining what you describe. Maybe you can make a few screenshots to illustrate. Win+Print creates complete screenshot in ..\Pictures\Screenshots

To maintain privacy, maybe send the screenshots by email along with the other files mentioned. DXDiag contains potentially sensitive information too.

I deleted everything and blew $100.00 for a complete factory reboot..Installed sbpro 4.363 as a test bed..Same thing happened, screen stuck at 1920-1080..tried shift-alt-w checked resolution, a row of dots you pick one i picked 1280-1080 as a test, screen changed to a smaller screen and if i try to fill the monitor window it goes to 1920-1080..Never did this before..

Interesting... how so, unless you simply reinstalled a blank Windows, then Steel Beasts, and afterwards added stuff until it broke Steel Beasts?

The people i had enlisted  for a factory reinstall put in as a "bonus" without telling me..

Not helping, Arch.

What I'm trying to say is that if the system is installed by the same people with the same parameters, then it likely still has the same issue. Although I suppose it could simply be Google Chrome, somehow.
