Game won't launch....

Hello,

a big problem.
the game won't launch.
If I click, it feels like it wants to start and then it stops. No error message.

If I look at the processus, I can see that it appears inside and then disappears straight away.

I've tried everything, I think.
uninstall , reinstall....
exe associations.
checked the registry.
checked the graphics drivers
deleted or stopped unnecessary processes.
and many other things. since several days.

Of course my licence is up to date, and so is the codmeter.

 - there's another game that does the same thing, the il2 box launcher, but not the game itself. just this game.

But all the proposed solutions don't work.

Sorry for my poor english...

Please try to start  SB in debug mode:
1) in Start menu navigate to eSim games- Steel Beasts Pro folder
2) there is a Troubleshooting subfolder.  Locate Steel Beasts Pro PE (debug) shortcut and try start SB by using it.

Then try to collect  DebugLog.txt generated during this launch attempt in  My Documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\logs and mail it to @Ssnake(Do not post logs here on forum!). May be it would shed some light on cause of your problem.

P.S.
Also makes sense to check if there are any SB-related crash dumps in CrashDumps folder and crash logs in My Documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\logs

Same Problem here. Updated the Codemeter but no luck. Uninstalled the game, reinstalled, got to play the game once, back to desktop to change some settings, tried to open up the game, computer is doing something but then nothing.

Also it would be nice to get debug log, and, in case if SB crashes on start-up-  crash dump, as was described above

Edit: just a reminder- please do not post any logs, dumps etc here. These things need to be handed over by e-mail.

So, my Windows 11 wasn't up-to-date (I'm so sorry for wasting your time). After installing the patches '2023-11 .NET 6.0.25 Security Update for x64 Client (KB5032883)' and 'Windows 11, version 22H2', the game now starts without issues every time. I hope this helps others who might have overlooked this solution as I did. Are you still interested in the debug log?

I can't believe that I didn't check if there were any Windows updates before crying in the forum :D I'm so sorry. Guys have a great day!

If I understand it correctly, the NTdll.dll is an important part of the operating system kernel. If that got damaged/deleted, who knows what else is missing. In the light of your previously reported issues, I think this missing DLL (or Steel Beasts not launching) is just a symptom of a much bigger problem --- that your Windows installation has been corrupted, and possibly for a while now.

The first step should be to boot from a Linux CD and then run a number of thorough malware scans. Depending on the results, a simple Windows reinstallation may be sufficient. Or you may need to be more thorough and erase or replace your harddisk and do a fresh Windows installation, with a data restoration from a backup that is known to not be infected (which may be difficult to ascertain).

If in doubt, consider consulting the services of a professional computer shop.

Yes!

during the last repair attempt i noticed that the dates of the system32 and wow64 ntdll.dll files have been updated to today.

windows having indicated to me a repair.

That did not change anything.

The other game that was bugging works perfectly now.

but its problem was not linked to the dll file. it was a mistake on my part. It happened at the same time by coincidence.

I'll have to start  with a clean windows....😩
